Ok everyone says raise with 9's, but do you 3-bet? Should I check-raise the flop. And obviously I mucked up by not leading the turn. Could I have played this any worse? hahaPokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cxPreflop: Hero is BB with [9s], [9c]. I wouldn't raise 99 here PF. You can't isolate because of the cold caller.I'd c/r the flop and lead the turn.

Missed a lot of value here after the flop. No need to slow-play.I would raise the flop and lead out on the turn. Hopefully you will be raised and have callers inbetween.
Nothing to read here. Move along.

:club: We've already been over pf.On the flop, you have to raise. Look at all the draws. Straight draws and flush draws always call. A 9 is calling. Overcards/pp's might call. And 8's are probably reraising. There are a lot of holdings your opponents will call with. To quote Miller:They can't call if you don't bet.

I was hoping to obviously check/raise the turn and get some bigger bets in but that plan blew. I thought the call instead of raise preflop was ok, but I should have c/r the flop and led the turn. OH well, live and learn.

Pre-flop is fine, you're not getting anyone to fold and there are enough people in that playing for the set is probably best. Maybe being results oriented here, but I think bet/call on the flop and leading the turn may be the best line here. UTG+2 most likely has high cards and will call you down.

Very good points. I would have played like the OP and waited til the turn to try to keep everyone in. I would not have looked at who was staying in anyhow. Thanks
