Well, you said you had played with her before, so my question is would she make this kind of move when she turns trips. I think i would have to fold here, something just tells me with how she moved in, not slowplaying that she has the 9.Just my thoughts, but hey, im not to great at this game we call poker.

BB folds., button (her) raises 5x my bet.i fold. previous games with her tell me shes a donkey, but hasnt appeared to have gone bankrupt yet

ok, well as you saying shes a total donkey i could see her having this 9, and i could see her not having a clue to what a 9 is this hand. I think i would still fold in this spot though, like everyone says, A A can't always win.

ok, well 102 viewed the thread but only 3 people replied. You all suck u know that. This hand really got me thinking. It doesnt seem like much, but I took all but 2 seconds from the time clock to make my choice.I called. first thing that hit me was A,9 suited or off suit. Just seemed very very possible. She really was quite the donk. I've seen her before, and she'd be willing to invest chips on gut shot draws. The preflop raise wasnt much, and i could see her calling from BB with A,9. she also called my flop bet. but this is where it hit me. she only called the bet. what is she waiting for?, its a rainbow board. If her A,9 was suited, its not a flush draw. so why would she only call with TP/TK? what could she have possibly thought was going to happen on the turn.So the turn, braught another 9. she pushed all in. Why? does she have the 9? what does she think i have, that i would call this all in? if she puts me on aces then her A,9 call would be pretty stupid. unless she puts me on 2 over cards? thats a possibility. perhaps i looked like a pot steal on the flop with all rags on board. This is a very good possibility. but what if i actually had a hand. could i make these same exact plays with 10,10, J,J or Q,Q?I dont see why not?, rags hit, and i'd be very thankfull to take down a 20.00 pot right then a there. But could i call a push on the turn? i have a feeling she was going to push the turn regardless of what hit, as long as it wasnt a A.With all this runing through my mind, and her ability to push the 2nd 9 made me think her fake 9 was no good. I dont think she wanted to see the river.so with 2 seconds left i hit call, and turned my aces, she turned Q,Q. and my aces held.thanks for the replies. I would have folded too. but all these threads on folding, made me get the extra courage to say, "fak it" :club:

Having not read replies....I would make this call. This is the perfect opportunity for her to make a bluff at the pot. I think that more often then not when someone calls on the flop and then bets the scare card into you on the turn it is a sign of weakness. The only trouble I'm having is putting her on a range of hands. Would she raise top pair on the flop?

Funny my experience (.25/.5nl) is completely the opposite.

I already read your results so maybe I am biased. You have to take in account that she called the 6BB raise so that SHOULD eliminate A9, but then you said she was a total donkey-unfortunately with no PF information. Generally you would think strong overpairs to be able to call that pf raise and your pot sized bet on the flopDo you think she would raise you on the flop if she had A9, or is she generally a calling station so that the turn bet surprised you? Also, why the check-call on the flop, do you think she would bet with top pair here or are is mr. Mitch so aggressive she's waiting for you to bet

I know poo bear, this is what i was thinking, which is why eventually i hit the call button. :-) these were all the questions i asked myself, and seeing how she pushed me off our first encounter, i think she had similar ideas. :club: u

Haven't read replies.I'm inclined to call this. Most 9's would bet out on the flop... and I'd like to think we weren't called with something that made junk two pair.I think this is a worse overpair more often than anything else.

I didn't read this in time to respond before you posted the results.Your analysis was correct. She could have A9, but she could also have TT, JJ, QQ. Call. Yada yada.
