Columbus stank at Center, so this is obviously a huge pickup for them. If Nash comes back healthy, if Brule gets called up and is healthy, if Zherdev starts giving 100%, if Federov fits in with Columbus (a big if), Columbus looks decent. A lot of ifs...

The acquisition of Federov will definitely improve Columbus when it comes to defense which bodes well for Daniel and his goaltending tandem of Florida and Columbus.

Well, this scares me a little for future survivor picks, but still not wavering with this week's pick. Also wondering, how many of the Survivors are regular posters?

theres been rumblings of Columbus chasing a top 2 line center. Rumors were it was Jason Allison but they thought he was too expensive, then they take on Fedorov?Huh????

me too, but most of the rumors had them turning down Allison because he's too expensive. Then they take on Fedorov?

its relative, fedorov will likely have a much bigger impact than allison if he is healthy.

reminds me of Randy Wood in some ways. Never seen anyone who created so many chances, used his speed to make so many moves, got breakaways.........and then shot it wide.

The Nash injury definitely played a part but I also think it's a combination of Anaheim dumping a little salary to free up cap space and Columbus being a little desperate. Fedorov definitely knows how to play without the puck, but the Blue Jackets are hoping he can regain his scoring touch. Fedorov and Nash might be a deadly combo in a month or so.

games g a pts.2001-2002 Red Wings 81 31 37 682002-2003 Red Wings 80 36 47 83 2003-2004 Mighty Ducks 80 31 34 65 I havent seen fedorov play since 03. Does he have anything left?his #'s with the ducks seem okay, :? (never watch the ducks, i'm on the east coast).... initially, I was excited the Blue jackets were gaining some experience and starting to build some credibility around the league. What are the forums thoughts on the Blue Jackets this year? Any fans out there?By the end of the season I hope they will be dangerous. When Nash is healthy they should be able to score at a better rate than 34 goals in 18 games, but they still have a long way to go.As for Nash, he missed the exhibition season with a high ankle sprain  , then hurt his knee  and is out until mid-December  .
