This hand confuses me because i dont know my best course of action.I dont play much high low, usually 1 table a day while i 7 table nl holdem, but I dont think this hand is that simple.I flopped 2nd nut boat, only beat by AA, but i had no low redraw...Should I have just let it go on the flop??PokerStars Game #3062678803: Omaha Hi/Lo Pot Limit ($0.50/$1.00) - 2005/11/15 - 00:22:06 (ET)Table 'Libra III' Seat #6 is the buttonSeat 1: zebrahead ($56.20 in chips) Seat 2: pzraff ($20 in chips) Seat 3: R_E_B ($136.30 in chips) Seat 4: AsianBlondy ($22 in chips) Seat 5: HookBack ($32.30 in chips) Seat 6: brianh777 ($68.75 in chips) Seat 7: mustafa ($201 in chips) Seat 8: DBL_J_22 ($94.05 in chips) Seat 9: Warm Jar ($156.40 in chips) mustafa: posts small blind $0.50DBL_J_22: posts big blind $1pzraff: posts big blind $1*** HOLE CARDS ***Dealt to DBL_J_22 [Qs Ad 4c Jd]Warm Jar said, "nh"Warm Jar: folds zebrahead: folds pzraff: checks R_E_B: calls $1AsianBlondy: folds HookBack: folds brianh777: calls $1mustafa: folds DBL_J_22: checks *** FLOP *** [4d 4h As]DBL_J_22: bets $4.30pzraff: calls $4.30R_E_B: raises $17.20 to $21.50brianh777: folds DBL_J_22: raises $51.60 to $73.10pzraff: calls $14.70 and is all-inR_E_B: raises $51.60 to $124.70DBL_J_22: calls $19.95 and is all-in*** TURN *** [4d 4h As] [Qh]*** RIVER *** [4d 4h As Qh] [Td]*** SHOW DOWN ***DBL_J_22: shows [Qs Ad 4c Jd] (HI: a full house, Fours full of Aces)R_E_B: shows [5s 4s Ah 2c] (HI: a full house, Fours full of Aces)DBL_J_22 collected $74.05 from side potR_E_B collected $74.05 from side potpzraff: mucks hand DBL_J_22 collected $29.25 from main potR_E_B collected $29.25 from main potNo low hand qualified*** SUMMARY ***Total pot $209.60 Main pot $58.50. You shouldnt have folded B/C you only had 20$ left. But i would have probably called anyway. I think your fine without the low redraw here. Someone probably had 235 anyway so your low would have to be real good to even contest it.

I would have done the same. Make any low draws pay to win half the pot, plus you are protecting the current nuts right now. Now many playes (that I have played against) would have called you with say a pocket pair hoping to spike it on the turn or river to beat you, so you should be safe the majority of the time. 8)

You played it fine, although I have run into AA in hands like this in the past....

Don't forget someone will limp with something like AA9K ns, and someone will limp with 2355 something like that.Yes you did get lucky.Unable to fold the current nut hand is what makes PLO8 so profitable.

am i seeing this wrong or did that other guy put all his chips in with nothing but a low draw on the flop?EDIT: I just noticed he only started the hand with 20 bucks in chips. But anyone can still comment.

I realize there's the need to make the low draws pay to get there, but in this situation, villian has the same high as me but with a redraw to the low so I could easily get quartered. I'm putting in 100 but im only going to get back 50 if he hits his low :(JackKing, do you fold this hand after villian reraises the pot? Also, does you answer change if you are sitting on a low redraw with this hand, say I have A 4 2 3, then i would certainly have no problems going in with it, right? What about a hand like A 4 5 6, a worse low draw, but if villian is only sitting on high, then it would be good enough, where do you draw the line with what hand to push her eand what hand to fold?

Second nuts and no re-draw to a low make this a tough spot. I'm not sure I'd have the displine to fold after the re-raise.

I think you played this fine. With the caller (even shortstacked) I'd be hard-pressed to find a fold since there was no raise from AA preflop... sometimes it'll be out there anyway, but other times you'll be getting raised by some retard with 2345 or something that looks nice but is actually just drawing to half the pot.
