Just got back about an hour ago from LA. Went to visit a friend and to sample the poker happenings around the city. All in all, i was very pleased with my time there. I played in a lot of games:2/3 NL Holdem at Hawaiian Gardens2/3 NL Holdem at Commerce2/3 NL Holdem at Normandie (I sat next to Lou Diamond Phillips for about 5 hrs or so. Excellent cardplayer and a very nice guy)5/10 Omaha H/L at Hollywood Park Casino (was gonna play CHicago, game was full though)2/3 NL Holdem at Bike1/2 NL Holdem and 4/8 Lim Holdem at Hustler (very nice room)I returned home about 1200 to the good. Had a great time, and i wanted to share with you FCPers. IF you are looking for a nice game in some sweet weather, check out LA...well worth it.Traffic was a pain though.

True that. LA is definitely -EV. The traffic is crazy, and the people are even crazier.

lol you went to normandie?? in compton...did you almost die?thats were I went cuz its the only place that doesnt card, I playing 3/6 with the bloods :-)

no but I did go there once, and it sux.if I play somewhere its morongo, cuz thats the only place i can go, but I think Ill just wait till im 21 and play online until then.

i have a friend that likes to go on thursday nights like twice a month. i've gone like 3 times in the last 2 months. he plays slots and i'll play 1/3? or 3/5 NL.....i'll PM you the next time i go. you can probably get by at Commerce if you wanted to.

meh I wouldnt wanna risk going to commerce, winning, and not getting paid.I might go to morongo during the thanks giving weekend see if theres some soft nl games going. (there usually is)Ill PM you if I go, just in case you're around there.

Normandie is in Gardena.Crystal Park is in Compton.I don't think any casino spreads Chicago. LOL. What a jopker.
