Suited J7 0
Alright a problem has arose in my little home game and I wanted to see if anyone had any advice or a better way for me to handle it.The game is generally less then 10 people and he only buy in for $5.I give 200 chips for ever $1 put into the pot. That allows for rebuys. We made the rule that you can rebuy for the lowest chip stack in increments of 200 so that the many stays correct and the short stacks have a little advantage rather then more people having bigger stacks. Rebuys can only be made during the first three blind levels. Which maxes out at 20-40. Someone is now arguing against that rule and wants to get rid of rebuys. Here is the problem: mostly everyone that plays with myself and a friend are total beginners and just like to have a good time. The rebuy allows them to push in with anything or blind to for fun. Taking away rebuiys will alienate some of the weaker players and thus shrink a little money out of the pot. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
Stylin_Fish 0
Lol, so there is no actual "poker playing" going on?
Ryan_Sanders 0
Lol, so there is no actual "poker playing" going on?I was just gonna say that. Maybe you should make the rebuy $5.00 as well. The play would become better if it cost more to rebuy.
Suited J7 0
its not really the style of play thats the issue. We all know some donkeys will be here and we are ok with that. Someone is complaining about the structure we set up with the rebuy. He played in our game before rebuys and hates them now. Mostly because he loses like a donkey to someone who rebought. Just lookin for some different ways to keep them without losing people. cheers
Suited J7 0
also there is a lot of poker being played. I would say out of our regular 6 about 3 of us can play and two of us are acutally quite good. We fair pretty well in the smaller buy-ins are the Taj and Trop. No wins yet for us but a bunch of FT.
