I just read a disturbing tidbit of news. It seems the good people of San Fransico have voted to ban the sale of firearms in their city and have ordered all citizens to turn all hand guns over to police by April 1 2006. That excludes police and military. The NRA is of course defending the law abiding poeples right to keep and bare arms under the second amendment. I am sure that this will be overturned. You cannot take away a LAW abiding persons right to own a firearm PERIOD! This is garbage. I don't care if your a liberal or conservitive this is wrong. Thank God I'm in Alabama where this would never happen. By the way I just got my new Ruger SuperBlackHawk single action revolver chambered 44mag and I love it! Hell of a firearm.

Did you expect anything else from a California city? I'm surprised they didn't do this a long time ago. I support it. They should see a decrease in crime now.

I'm all for gun control Don, keeping them out of the hands of criminals is a must. It's not the people that legally own firearms thats the problem.

No they wont, honest law abiding people don't use guns purchased legally to commit crimes. Thugs and criminals will still carry and buy guns unlawfully and use them to commit crimes. Come on man you smarter than that.

To decrease gun crime you really need to focus on more sever punishment, ie, minimum sentences for violent gun crime must be inforced strongly.

What exactly do law abiding people who purchase guns legally do with them?

I guess this is all unnecessary rambling because Hollywood personifies something I hate about most people. He can take valuable knowledge, stare it right in the fucking face and never let a single sentence absorb into his brain.

you're right, i don't support the 2nd amendment...it's outdated with the modern technology....weapons HAVE evolved in the last 250 years, in case you didn't notice.

By the way Pupsta do you just support the parts of the constitution that you agree with? I don't agree with alot of things Americans have the right to do, but our constitution protects all of our rights , not just the ones you agree with.

I would agree to that, but I will never support any claim that says making it hard for law abiding people to purchase and own firearms will decrease violent crimes. Criminals will always be able to get guns PERIOD. So the good people of the US lose rights that criminals ignore anyway.
