reraise is the obvious choice what does a call accomplish here? If you just call and he bets at you on the turn you are guessing does he have flush set? You don't know. But if you reraise and he comes back over the top it's and easy fold if he just calls now you have control over the hand and you can precede accordingly on the turn.

Perfect response above me. Binbs I just posted on a previous situation where you had an opportunity to raise on the turn and just called then were faced with a later bet in which there was great animosity towards your action. You need to be raising here in order to save money. You need to know that many times you are beat and that you will make little money when your opponent calls and keeps betting. His initial raise could be with a variety of hands from bottom set to AhKx to who knows what. But one thing is for sure, if you call here he can still have any of those hands at which you must call further bets! You need to raise with the intention of taking the pot down. Big raise btw, to like 30 or more. Its a lot of money, but its either that or lose it all later.

This is karma for raising a full 4x the bb from CO, I hate that. Just kidding. Re-raise and go by your read when a :club: falls on 4th street.

I don't see how you can beat much being check-raised on the board here. Of course he could have something like ace of hearts with a smaller pair, or just the ace draw. Either way, you have to make a decision with this hand right here, because calling means you're going to face a big bet on the turn no matter what comes.
