Just thought I'd get my first post of the way. I've been lurking here for awhile and enjoy much of what I've read. Basically I'm 18 and have playing been playing cardsw/ my friends for a few years. We started playing games like Cincinnatti(sp) and Blackjack. Then Moneymaker went and won it and all the older kids at school started playing texas hold'em and I preceded to lose about $100 my first time playing(prob. not much to most but for a 15 yr. old it is).I decided I didn't like that so I started reading anything I could get ahold of and started getting better. Now me and my friends play usually 1 or 2 times a week and usually play hold 'em, stud/8ob(i really want to get better at this), omaha/8ob, low profile(a h/l game), cincinnati, etc... I usually do pretty good, although I am not the best 18 year old player alive. I live in NW Iowa and I've been to Jackpot Junction(an indian casino in Minnesota, 18+ to play)a few times and usually do pretty good in $2/$4(if anyone wants to meet up and play there let me know). Thats about it I guess.Peace

I don't flame many new guys, just because I still consider myself one. So, welcome. Enjoy your stay.

Anytime a first post includes references to Stud 8/b, it's a good thing.Welcome to the forums.
I'm also fed up with the common cold but I just hate to say goodbye.

I am also intrigued by Grindermj's response. Is he suggesting that I used real bad grammar or did he just forget the sw?

Welcome. Hope you like dick and fart jokes, and hopefully you can't detect sarcasm so when people use their goddamn sw add ons they won't be wasted.

Oops, shoulda previewed my post, didn't realize I messed it all up. I was just noting that you said you did things good a few times. I'm a stickler for the correct usage of well/good. Besides that, my grammar sucks just as much as everybody elsees.
