When delt KK, is the right play to fold to a re-raise with an Ace in the window? This is my strategy most of the time but I am starting to wonder if I'm not pressing my kings hard enough. Should I re-raise back to find out for sure where I am? Should make em' show me the aces before I believe them?P.S. I play mostly $0.50/$1.00 or $1.00/$2.00 (micro limit stuff)

Play KK like AA. Strong pre flop with lots or re riases. Flops comes an ace depends on how many people in the pot. More than 3 then ditch. Less then re rais any raiser. Make him think about his kicker if he has an ace or throw away his smaller PP or draw if he decided to take a stab at it. Nothing really wrong with throwing it away if anyone still plays with you after an ace drops. Plus by re raising even if he does have an ace he might be worried about what you have and slow it down letting you show down cheaply. If you run into AA or trips then thats just unlucky and you have to pay the man(quoting the big man Doyle there). Just my thoughts.

No, I ment hold'em I just did a very poor job wording my question. It seems like every time I am delt pocket kings an ace comes on the flop or the turn and I get re-raised. I am wondering if my read of the other players sticking around thru my initial bets/raises means they must have an ace or a pocket pair and if they re-raise with an ace on the board they must have hit their ace. Should look to lay down the hand or should I press harder with my pair of cowboys.
No good fold goes unpunished.

in traditional terminology, the board in hold-em was called the "widow"it has evolved into "window" and eventually, the phrase died out.

Just remember, at low limits, people will play Ace-garbage, even UTG. Be very wary of aces on the board, I can't count how many times my KK has gotten cracked by some d0uche nozzle calling A6 off UTG for a pre-flop raise.

That ain't no kidding. KK getting killed by some yahoo playing A4 happens way too often. In my low limit loose game, I treat KK like I would JJ pre-flop---in other words, protect the hell out of it pre-flop, and bet it all the way through in most situations (not when an A hits) Make them pay for that chance to hit the A. The times that A doesn't hit, you've just got to win more than you lose when it does.

You've got to understand its still a pre-flop cap hand. Don't get too cautious now.. make them pay before the community hits, then be cautious.

Just let it go.Becoming too attached to big pocket pairs when an overcard flops and results in action is a fairly big leak.
I've never played poker.
