beginner's hand

Hi. I'm very new to Omaha Hi/low and probably need all the help that I can get. Any advice on how to play the following hand would be great. It's hyper low limit (again, I'm just learning) so keep that in mind (and don't make fun). It was played on Full Tilt and I'm not exactly sure how to convert FT hands, so I just did it out manually. This seems like a better than average hand so I decided to raise:UTG Calls, 2nd position folds, 3rd position calls, I raise it up to .55, 5th position calls (cut off), button folds, small blind folds, big blind calls, UTG calls, 3rd position folds.We have 4 players including myself to about a $2.20 pot. I am next to last to act.Flop: Qc 2h 4hI have a straight draw to the wheel. Two checks to me. How should I proceed in this type of hand? Should I have raised preflop?

I can safely say I pot this about 99% of the time.As you said, you have the uncounterfeitable nutlow draw, as well as the wheel draw.The only way I would hold back is if I knewthere was an aggressive player behind me whowould put n a bet where I could raise him.Nothing wrong with the PF raise, IMO.

I would play this hand full speed ahead on the flop. There aren't many hands you are behind. If someone has Ah3h8c9d your EE is .544If someone has QsQh9c8d your EE is .599(the 89 is just my stab at random cards)The only hands you have to worry about areAh3h5 X and A 3 Q Q. So you really want action on this, at this level, players will call pot sized bets with pretty much anything, so I think potting it is the right move. But you want a caller on your bet, so betting something you think will be called is the move you want to make. I also like the raise preflop, I think most players are too passive preflop. If you are only playing strong starting hands, raising (almost) every time you come into a pot is not a bad thing.

Pot is 2.2o and you have $5 left. I would bet half the pot so as to be able to go all-in with a pot bit on the turn if you hit. Yiu are likely to get more callers with a $1 bet than $2 in most cases.
