I'm fighting that tendancy. Good or too aggressive? I lead the turn but I'm slowing down if he keeps playing back.

I think on the flop he is shouting out "I have more than 1 pair." I think I go into check/call mode. If he checks behind me on the turn I'll bet out on the river. My little sister can beat me up.

This line is fine, but you have to just call down if you are raised on the turn.Against passive opponents, I take Actuary's line of check/calling the turn and betting the river if the turn is checked through.

Only had around 20 hands at this table and I'm not running PT but villain was very loose and tended to be oddly aggressive. Ie I got the feeling he was a sheriff type trying to keep everyone honest. He was down to about 5.5 BB from 18+ since I joined the table. My feeling was that if I check on the turn he's betting regardless of what he has. I'm calling down if he raises the turn. You're right that showing he just called the turn may bias opinions. I'll leave that out next time.
