Dont know Villain. VPIP on 26 hands says 65 %. Overbet, not underbet the flop.See what he does with $15 at 8.Checking the flop with the intention of overbet/raising a weak bet probably isn't too bad either.Don't ask yourself if you want to call the river. If you DO want to call the river, ask yourself where you could have moved him in earlier. The way it played I think folding the river is best.
Always bet like you've got a pair.

Gotta fold the river. Villain could easily have flopped 2 pair or a straight in that position. The Q turn is a killer card. Also, his $4 bet on the turn screams value bet. I don't mind the flop bet, so I think you played it alright (as long as you folded).

You know to me it looked more like he was trying to represent the Queens when it hit on the turn.

i definately would have led the turn w/ something like 14 and folded to a raise. you let him take control of the hand, so now you have no idea where you stand. relenquishing the lead in a hand is only effective if you have a big hand or if your opponent is weak-tight. i dont think your villain is either one, so i would have kept betting

Ok thanks for the feedback guys. I have to agree that I should have lead out on the turn as well, to get a better idea of where I was in the hand.Luckily his bet on the turn was the right tell.** Dealing the river: 7 of HeartsBinbs checkedbelric2 went all-in - $34.34Binbs called - $34.34belric2 shows: Ace of Spades, 8 of HeartsBinbs wins $97.18 from the main pot

When you just check/call the turn you should be expecting him to move all in whether he has you beat or not if you check to him again on the river. With that said, I like checking the flop and seeing what he does, or overbetting it, either one should work nicely. I think the way you played it you need to bet the same thing you did on the flop on the turn. If he raises you there, then you can think about folding, because you have a much better idea of where you're at. If you check/call the turn you have no idea where you're at. I guess if i'm at the river then the way you played it i think you have to fold if he's a passive player.

Avoid results based thinking.Don't post results.Lather, rinse, repeat. The turn is a value bet plenty of times to negate your logic for calling the river.
Always bet like you've got a pair.

Fair enough TJ.But I still disagree about his turn bet. After thousands and thousands of hands at this level, you adapt an instinct to the way people bet and react to the different textures of the board. His bet on the turn compared to his stack size clearly told me that he did NOT have a Queen. I was unsure about the all in on the river, but given stack size and his bet on the turn I was inclined to call.

of course his turn bet wasnt for value. It was a horrible attempt to try a river steal granted the rigt card hits which it did, and u checked and he pushed. Most of the time this works.
