I'm a software engineer (well I'm mostly a bum now but anyway ...) and one of the things that software people do is have their peers review the software they write. You do it for a couple reasons - occassionally you spot errors but more often you finds bits of code that are difficult to understand and can be improved. Now what does this have to do with poker you ask? Well I think a similar kinds of idea can work here. You've seen "poker coaches" who work by watching you play online and commenting on your plays. The thing is that most of my mistakes are obvious enough that I don't need some pro to point them out. A peer - roughly the same poker skills as mysefl - can probably find them. What I'm looking for is someone to say - you played this hand wrong, you should have folded this one, you should have raised this one, i'm not sure if this was played correctly or not. And perhaps an overall assessment if possible - You get married to pocket pairs when it's clear you're beat, you check behind on the river too often when you're ahead, you call too often on the river when you're clearly beat, etc.I'm not quite sure how to work it - sweat each other online with IM? share hand histories? or if anyone would be up for it. I'm thinking a one-on-one trade - i'll review yours if you review mine - from relatively equally experienced/skilled players and bring questions to the larger forum as needed.Has anyone ever tried something like this? Is anyone interested in trying something like this? Thoughts on how to work it?

Start posting in the strat. section, it'll do the same thing, if not more. Post hands from big pots you've been involved in, as well as just routine hands as a check up.

One of the reasons I post here is that it helps to have different minds coming from different places. People can analyze the same problem from different perspectives and agree on an optimal way to play it.Definitely post more. The trick is being able to admit that you aren't the best poker player in the world and there's stuff you can learn from other people who post here. Ignore the flames and personal stuff and just try to learn everything you can from everyone here.Don't be scared to reply to posts either. You'll be agreed with and boost your confidence, or you'll be corrected and learn where your thinking is in error.
Always bet like you've got a pair.
