Here is the other part to the Sit N Go VS Micro limit post.In this one I would like to know the correct strategy for playing sit n gos ,,,maybe five or 6 hours a day..I have played them before and the swings kinda suck. I guess my main problem is that I try to out play the players and I think too much so I make plays that seem logical to me but they will call anyway even though I was representing the nuts.,other than that the times when I play my hands and I dont bluff too hard I usually win (unless some idiot calls me with a k2 and out draws me) but I dont know if there would be a correct strategy for this low buy in sit n go tourney. I have heard that there are people who manage to make good money from the single tables so if anyone constantly makes money off of this please leave us some knowlege of your basic strategy for winning.P.S. I dont have a real strategy for Sit n Go's even though I do win a decent amount of times,, i guess my strategy consists on agressive play but tight preflop ,, maybe I play the top 2o hands or so .. thats basically it..
sng's vs m.l. sit n go strat,

Sitngo "Formula" (for low limit, idiot populated games):1st 4 rounds: Play supertight. Big pairs, AK, AQ. Double up through someone by reraising preflop with these. When limped to in late position, add in suited connectors 45-TJ, all PP's, KQ, KJ, AJ. If you make a big hand, bust someone.Subsequent roundsBelow 10x BB stack: open-all-in preflop with all pairs 77+, Aces with 10 or better kicker, add hands as the stack keeps dwindlingOver 10x bb: steal almost every button when at 4 people (1st>>>>2nd>>3rd, remember that), attack the BB when you pick up a hand in SB, to negate positional disavantage. Go maniacal. If I could teach an army of monkeys to grind party 10+1 SnG's, that's how they'd play them.If someone thinks my army of poker monkeys would drive me to bankruptcy, please correct any errors and provide thoughts.

Just to add to the previous post:Low limit SnG's are a good time to exercise patience. If you put yourself on autofold and walked away from the computer you'd finish 4th or 5th most of the time. If you're planning to play lots and lots of SnG's to try to make money, ultra conservative play will put you in 3rd most of the time, doubling your investment. Not as sexy as playing for first, but repeat it 10x per day and it's a steady increase to your bankroll. If you're only playing a few of them and are playing for first place, ultra conservative for the first 3 rounds will protect your investment while busting a few players out. As the table gets shorter, open up a bit and look for opportunities to double up. Short stacks in the blinds will defend their blinds against most bets from most players. Exploit that. Big stacks in the blinds (unless you've tagged them as calling stations) will not defend their blinds against big bets from most players. Exploit that. When you're down to 4 players, most people are afraid to mix it up too much. This is a good time to steal blinds. It's also a good time to get out of the way of anyone that shows any strength, as they likely have a very strong hand.Once you're in the money, the game frequently reverses and becomes fairly wild. The size of the blinds will force you to gamble if you're short stacked. If you're the big stack, sit back and let the other two knock each other out.

There's also some big diffences between the S+G formats on each site. For example Pokerstars starts you with 1500 chips and blinds increase every 10 minutes. Party starts with 800 chips and blinds go up every 10 hands which forces you to play more agressively and take more risks.Find one that suits your style.
