boxcaral 0
Does anyone see any merit in playing at online rooms that do are not PokerTracker compatible?Using Financial records and hours logged in a Spreadsheet, I an a +3BB/hr winner in low limit Hold'em and $15-30 SnG's on line and B&M, and I do better in my local home games which tend to be on the loose-passive side . The sample for this ratio is data logged since 8/04.I don't use PokerTracker. I don't need PokerTracker to play winning poker, at least at the limits I currently play at. I keep some player notes and judge my success by the bottom line over the last 6 months. I do not judge my game based on the 68% JTs I laid down preflop on the BB to a one-bet. That is because I don't have a c3ns0r3d clue what any of my stats are, except for BB/Hr, and RoR, which I can calculate based on simple forumlae using the data from the aformentioned data. The reason for the post (I usually lurk  - one learns far more when one is listening):When I played most frequently at sites PT-compatible sites, I was a far lesser player by my own measuring stick. I have moved (almost) exclusively to sites where hand histories are not grabbed, and I am doing far, far better while playing the same textbook poker.Givens:- This is a postulate...- The sample is far too small for any categorically acurate correlation...- The hero is an experienced, successful poker player who does not use PT or any similar hand analysis software....Primary Questions:- Can a positive correlation be ascertained between success playing poker online[/b] and playing at rooms which are not PT-compatible?- If so, can that difference be quantified?- Following that, how many hands should be sampled to establish or dissolve the aformentioned correlation?- Conversely, is there a demostrable edge to be found in playing on PT-compatible sites and using PT?- If any of the above claims are supportable, can someone back them up with personal or public information?Secondary Questions (these might be a little more discussable):- How much has Poker Tracker changed online poker?- Has anyone had similar experiences? Thanks!
