I make pretty good money playing online. I can usually trap a lot of inexperienced players and love to watch them click the infamous "All-In" to their demise. So in a way I'm not complaining about these morons because they help pay the bills . . . BUT . . . I'm just like anybody else who gets ticked when they suck out on me by calling stupid stuff. Here are four hands . . . count them . . . four hands in a row that I got just absolutely screwed on. No hand histories but i'll explain each one briefly. By the way I'm playing .50/1 NL Holdem'1) On the big blind with K :D K :D Three callers to me I raise to $3 Flop = 2 :) 7 :) 9 :club: I bet $5, 2 fold, 1 calls Turn = J :club: I bet out $10, he calls River = 3 :club: I bet $2.50 (which pu thim all-in) he calls He turns over 2 :D 3 :) How?? Why?? I give up trying to figure how he could call his pair of 2's to the river and hit his two pair . . . Oh well it happens. On to the next hand.2) First position with A :D K :) I bet out $2.50 with two callers. Flop = J :) 10 :club: A :club: Wow! - Top pair, top kicker, straight/flush draw I bet $8 hoping to get action, 1 folds, 1 reraises to $16 This has me stumped QK maybe, pocket 10's, Jacks ????? I reraise to $40, he calls Turn = 4 :club: I bet out $10, he just calls, now I'm worried River = 6 :club: I figured he either flopped a straight or was drawing to one or the flush? I decide to bet out another $10, he just called???? I show my Aces, he showed me his 4 :club: , 6 :club: GEEEEEZZZZZ!!! Again with the two pair! How in the you know what does he call these bets with that?? It's not like I'm slow playing here.3) 9 :club: 9 :club: Wow I think to myself - atleast I am getting pretty good cards here. I was in early position so I just called. Maybe should have raised but was a little timid after the last two hands. Flop = 9 :club: 2 :D 7 :club: First to act I again did not slow play, but I bet out $10. Next to act goes all-in! Everyone else folds! After the all-in there was $76.75 in the pot!!!! I'm thinking he has pocket 7's at best. There is no way I'm folding here. I call. Turn = x :) , River = x :D I turn over my trip 9's - ready to bring in the pot! He turns over his 10 :) 4 :club: Well he totall got bombarded by the entire table about how he could come over the top with 10 high. Do you know what his response was?? "I had an over card and a 2 flush draw . . . it hit didn't it" By this time I'm crying in my cornflakes, thinking what have I done wrong here!! I don't think I could have played them a lot better, could I4) A of freaking :club: K of freaking :club: Great another good hand - woopty freakin doo!! I bet out $4, two callers, yadda yadda yadda Flop = A :D K :club: 3 :) Oh what the heck let's slow play. CHECK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! one checks next bets out $10 . . . WHAT IS GOING ON???????? No draws on me I'm thinking. I'M ALL-IN FOR $52.50. Now - In retrospect I should have been worried about a straight draw . . But I was borderline tilt . . . and a little steamy behind the ears from the previous 3 bad beats . . . but I still think what the heck . . . I need this hand . . . I hope he don't have trips!!! Turn = x :club: , River x :club: YAY . . . ANOTHER FREAKING SPADE FLUSH IS GONNA BEAT ME!!!!!!!! WOO-HOO!!!!!!!!! But surely he didn't have two spades. NAH!!! We turn em' over . . . and of course there is his 6 :D 9 :) OH OF COURSE YOU WOULD CALL A $50+ DOLLAR ALL IN WITH THAT QUALITY HAND - WHAT AM I THINKING??????????????So after I tried unsuccessfully to slit my wrists with my electric razor, I did what any normal poker player would do. I rolled up my sleeves, went back to work and got all my money (minus about $60) back from the same jerks that sucked it from me.Wow - what a day! Thanks for listening . . . I needed to vent.
I love . . . er . . . I mean hate . . . I mean love this game!

3 words: Oh the humanity, seriously after all that I would be borderline jumping out of my basement window.

it's night's like that that made me think jumping up to higher blinds/limits would help stabilize the competition. too bad i didn't quite have the bankroll to sustain the inevitable ebbs and flows of poker. back to .25/.50 n/l and tons of fun freerolls.

Holy shit man. I thought mine was bad (and it was) but it doesn't compare to yours. If you can come back from that, you must be ummm.... "NoTilt Man!"

You win the overall award for quality and speed of beatage. You got smacked. I especially like your final paragraph.Glad you could still mix it up at the end, very nice. You want people to make bad calls, obviously, but that kinda crap all at once just kicks the sh1t out of you.*shiver*

Thank you so much for this post. I honestly had a night like this, well an entire day. Sadly, I couldn't pry myself away from the table cause I thought it had to improve, and after the second or third bad beat I certainly went on tilt. Glad to see that it happens to us all sometimes though, and hopefully in the future I can either control my tilt or stand up from the table.
