I agree. I really dislike the call pre-flop too with so many people behind you still to act. Are you still calling if it comes back to you capped?

This isn't that bad to me. Depending on the type of player UTG is, he may lead with a strong draw (straight +flush), which might be true because he only called your flop raise.It is very likely that the button is rasing with a hand that you beat right now (AK, KJ, myabe even 77 etc.)

I'm getting 4 to 1 on the preflop call just counting the money in the pot.The only real concern is the BB 3-betting, which could happen sometimes.But I think most of the time, the pot will end up being 11 or 12 SB preflop and I will have contributed just 1.5 of them.On the flop, I really hate mucking these cards. The pot is huge, UTG could be betting a lot of things, and Buttons raise could also mean a lot of things.The bad thing is the flop is draw heavy. I don't like betting out because everyone will just call. I would like to C/R and have the Button be the first flop bettor, but that didn't work out.I guess I could abandon this hand if the table were pretty tight postflop, but it is not. I think there is still a reasonable chance that MHIG for now. Normally I would worry about reverse implied odds with this kind of hand, but the pot is so large that they don't really apply. I just want to fold as many people as possible here to protect my top pair.I was talking with Aseem about this hand and he suggested cold-calling the flop and c/r-ing a safe turn as an alternative line. I don't like that as much for a couple reasons. First, if UTG bets out again, then I don't really want to c/r. Second, if Button is making a free card play, then it could get checked around. And third, when I'm behind, c/r-ing the turn is more costly.

your tp is so vulnerable i don't think i want to play this hand out any further. never mind the fact that you might be way behind already.if i was to play the hand past the flop i would prefer aseem's line of cold calling and waiting for the turn.

You're also at a positional disadvantage throughout the hand.
