blakalicious 0
I want to read both books by sklansky, but which one should i read/get first?
royaltrux 0
SSH just because the help your game will receive will be more immediate. It will make you money on online games. That is not to say TOP won't do that as well it is just a more advanced book. Both are essential reads but I would go with SSH first.
KDawgCometh 2
honestly, both. I'm serious. TOP will improve your game leaps and bounds, and sshe is where you apply many concepts, so just muster up the extra dough you'll be glad you did
Smasharoo 0
You won't realize how good ToP is untill you've played for like a year and re-read it. Then you'll hit yourself in the head.SSHE you can apply right away, particularly the pre-flop and counting outs stuff.

Awful 0
Theory of Poker is very different. Most books are a blueprint. TOP is architecture class. You need to put some work into understanding TOP and a lot of work to expand the concepts, explore them, see how they apply to your game, and really use the knowledge from TOP to expand your game. Start with Small Stakes Holdem and read TOP when you have the experience to link the concepts you've been using from SSHE to the way TOP really teaches the game.

NormanHaupt 0
Now, SSHE by Sklansky is differen than SSHE by Miller, right?
Leedspokerguru 0
nah. Its miller sklansky and big mason. Good book. I'd say its more of an attacking book than most out there. Most books teach you how to play tight and solid, this makes you relax up a bit and attack/mix it on lower limit games. TOP takes longer to read and digest. Always worth a re read as well after a couple of months.
