i believe that you generally only wait for the turn to raise when you either have a very strong hand and are essentially slowplaying, or when you want other players in the hand to have to face an extra bet.the latter is more important - you do it so that other players in the hand will have to face an extra bet in the hand, and therefore won't have the odds to call their draws. this is not the case in this hand.so, you should three-bet the fl

I'd wait to 3 bet the turn rather then the flop.Looks like you are on a steal. If I were the BB and had 10x or 7x, I'd probably at best put you on middle pair, but most likely high cards or Ax. Betting out at that flop would be a usual high card play to try and take it down right there. The villian did play it rather odd, check raising twice, which is pause for concern.I'd 3-bet the turn and re-evaluate the river. If he checks the river, depends on the card that fell. The Ks brings an over to your queens and 3 to the flush. If he checks, I'd probably check behind. If it was a different river say the 3h, I'd probably bet out once more. If he bets, I call.

Haven't read results.3-betting the flop stands out to me. I'd rather find out if he has the cojones to cap me for small bets rather than big bets later.

Now that we've seen the villain's turn play we know he probably has something,BUT on the flop, if he's just making a play at the pot to take it down, we want him to continue to bluff at us on the turn. After seeing his turn check-raise it is easier to say "three bet the flop," but w/ the info we have on the flop, i like the stop and go.

uh, no, this flop must be three bet, like, all the time. the villian's action on the turn doesn't change the fact that the flop must be three bet

why three-bet it?It's not a very draw heavy board (what are we worried about, 8-9?)And we're almost certain we're ahead, so why don't we wait for the turn when the betting limits double?
one, what screech said, two, because its smart, three, so that we make anyone with an overcard pay to see that next card. Pulling a Stop n Go doesn't let us take control of the hand and we don't know where we are at.

so you never just call the check raise on the flop waiting to pop the turn with an overpair less than AA? I don't think this would be a terrible play against an aggressive player.

it isn't if you don't follow through on the turn. if this player is very aggressive, then the turn needs to be three bet rather then the flop, but, brando never gave that inclination. Plus QQ is different then KK or AA, I'm three betting the flop all day long
