pretty dumb theoretical question with a hand history

I am VERY new to omaha, seriously under a thousand hands. From reading posts and trying to learn, i have taken that position is far more important in omaha than it is in holdem. I have found that i dont play hardly any hands unless i am in late position. I think you played it alright. You have such a powerful drawing hand that it's unlikely you are behind. I might of just called the reraise of the flop though.

The only way you are an underdog is if he has A2 with a set and even then you are not much of a dog. Against the very best of his possible holdings you are about even. Against anything else you are a substantial favorite.I may have just called the flop raise but then I think I play too weak-tight alot of the time. If the turn does not bring a club, 2, 3 or 6. you will have a tough decision to make whether to call his inevitable push without a high hand and possibly without a low hand. If they do come, some of those "good" cards for you might slow him down to the point of killing any further action on the hand (such as if his low gets counterfeited on the turn, which is what happened presumably, unless he was pushing with only top set). That depends on the opponent, of course. Consequently, pushing is probably the right play given the overall equity of the situation. wow, thanks very much for taking the time to figure that out for me. in a more general way, is pushing when your hand has multiway draws like that the general idea. i figured there were cards everywhere that helped me and that is why i pushed.

I cant understand the jumble written above me but i think you played it correctly. You dont really want to wait for a turn b/c if you miss then youve got i tough decision plus your not losing to any hand.

You played the hand perfectly. If you want to get paid off on some big drawing hands, you'll have to jam from time to time. With the nut flush draw and and uncounterfeitable low draw, you are in great position to outdraw your oponent. I only like this play because you do have protection on your low draw.Look at it this way. Your oponent could beat neither a wheel or a nut flush. Had you not re-raised on the flop, you would not have been paid off on the turn. That is exactly why you jam big draws on the flop.i have taken that position is far more important in omaha than it is in holdem.

Not true at all, with only a couple of exceptions I will post on these at another time). If you know how to play, position is almost meaningless.

This reminds me of a hand I played today with not such a good result. The flop was 458 rainbow and I held A236 for a monster wrap and uncounterfeitable nut low made. I checked, one person bet and a third person raised him and I raised pot. The first better called and the 3rd guy folded. the turn and river were both painted bricks and I ended up getting myself quartered by A28. I was an unfortunate result since I was a money favorite over his hand getting at least 3/4 with any A236 or 7. The benefit on this hand is that the third guy in the hand probly would have won the high and he things I'm a dumb player now.

With that hand and that flop I would always get as much money as possible into the pot.
