Ks is all I am worried about at this point. I bet to see where I stand. Turn comes and that gives me some more outs to go along with the flush draw (12 outs) Should I have just checked? Cause even if paw bets I would be correct in calling right? So why not bet. If I get raised than I can get out. If he folds, yay. River comes out and I miss the flush and the nut str8. So I check. He checks, he wins and then tells me I should have been out of the hand at the turn, why in the world did I go to the river. I personally don't think i did anything terribly wrong but maybe I am missing something. Please advise. Thanks.

I am there with top pair with a decent kicker. If paw or mog has the A 10 then so be it. Never put mog on JJ, no real way in my mind that I could have put him on it. After this hand paw comes after me asking me to continue playing **** hands, yet this coming from a guy who played a crappier hand than I was to the river makes me giggle a little. I had him beat from the start yet I am the crappy poker player. So what did i do horribly wrong in this hand. Am I being to aggressive by betting my top pair? I didn't think that was a major problem. Ugh. I have been on a good upswing the last two days, (bankroll went up 6x since yesterday) but all day i have been told how *****y I am. It seems to be getting to me.

1) I'de have bet the river, too. You're not going to win by checking. You don't have to have this bluff be successfull too much to show a profit. well....with a good read. He might be the type of guy that calls down with bottom pair.2) You played good. When I see someone turn up an overpair without raising it makes me sick. But that's good for you....put him on your buddy list.....loose/passive
back for kramit

Yeah, I think I have a huge leak in that situation. I am aggressive up until the river. I always seem to check when i don't make my draws and such. But I changed my play a little since posting this and finished out my session around 10xbb/hr. So I am just damn lucky or i might be figuring this out. I have mainly been a tourney player. SnG's and MTT. I just started getting into Limit a month ago. Reading SSHE, SS1&2, HEFAP, and reading hand critiques on this site. I am not close to being good at this but I think I am starting to catch on.Thanks for the imput.

1. Bet the river.2. Nothing you can do.Q9s UTG is a probably a little loose pf unless the table is VERY passive.
I've never played poker.
