A question for some of you more experienced players... How do you typically work on your game when you are away from the table? Do you run yourself through hands you've played and/or seen? Have you made up mental excercises for yourself? I guess what I am trying to ask is, aside from simply playing, what can I do to work on my game?Snack

Study books...don't just read them. This is retarded but it works: I pretend like I have a final on SSH or TOP or SS...and I study the hell out of it. I also look over all my hand histories at the end of the week. I point out my mistakes and ones that I have problems with I post on a forum. Talk poker with people, teach someone that is trying to learn...and play golf for patience and mental stability.

Do you think I should be requesting my play money hand histories? Is there anything to be learned from studying those hands? It sure doesn't feel like it when I'm playing them... I'm a little leary of plunking some real money down quite yet. Thanks for the reply.Snack

There is something to be learned from any hand played. request them...notice when people bet into you and you called when you should have foled...notice your bad bluffs and figure out why they didn't succeed. You're welcome
