penne 0
i constantly work on my game and am having trouble finding the leak. i feel that i am playing too many hands from early position. For example would you play hands like KT, QT, JT, QJ etc. also, does the type of game you're in affect what you play up front; ie. loose, tight, or solid games. and lastly, do the stakes also affect what i should be playing in these early positions, for example, 1/2 compared to 10/20?thanks,penne
JFarrell20 1
of all the hands you listed, I'd probably only play K10 in early position. And that is only if it's suited. You are seeing too many flops. (This coming from a guy who 3-tables and sees 30% of flops consistently).
pokerplayer75 0
The stakes shouldn't effect how you play but the stakes will change the skill level of your opponents. Generally, if the table is loose you should play tight and if the table is tight you should play aggresive. The starting hands you listed people would say don't play them from early position, especially in limit. I would play/raise with them in a nl game in early position but of course it depends on the table. In a nl game if you get reraised witht those hands it a good idea to fold. This is bad advice. I'm going to post a seperate topic on this, because everyone gets it wrong. To the OG poster, SUITED broadway is OK...KTs, QJs, JTs...but not KTo,QJo,JTo, or Qto.If the table is aggressive, KTs, and QTs become unplayable. It will often be three bet pre-flop.
