screech 0
Tim,you don't beat anything he could possibly have on the river.Given the way this hand played out, I think villian either has AK/AQ, a mid pp, or maybe A6.If he's called all the way with a pair, he's not going anywhere. He'll have AK/AQ roughly half the time based on card combinations. What you have to decide is how likely he is to play AK/AQ this way, and how likely he is to fold these hands.I think he'll fold an unpaired ace (and occasionally a weak pair) often enough to make betting profitable. Sysvr4 0
I'm checking the turn, too. You have very little fold equity on someone who c/r'ed the flop. If he just called the flop, I'll fire anouther shell on the turn.Jeff
TJ_Eckleburg 0
Just out of curiosity...Why are we 3-betting the flop over a check/raise?Do 8 + 6 outs mean we have equity over one pair, and what are Villain's checkraising hands heads up?
screech 0
what are Villain's checkraising hands heads up?This is important. If he won't c/r without top or middle pair, the turn bet is a spew.

econ_tim 0
you don't beat anything he could possibly have on the river. If I can get him to fold A-high 1 out of 8 times, it's worth betting the river.

I said you should probably bet because of the chance you are up agianst A high. Of course this depends on your opponent, and how often he'd play AK/AQ this way, and how often he'd call on the river with these hands UI.

TJ_Eckleburg 0
I still think the flop 3-bet isn't particularly great. It smells a little like a spew to me.If you checked through the turn for free, that's different... but I ask again, why are you 3-betting the flop? pokerplayer24 0
With that board any pp is calling you. And I think A high has to call you here as well. Can you fold A high 1 in 8... most likely. But how often is he going to have A high here. AK is capping this preflop same with AQ. I just don't see someone folding A high with a JJJxx board here.
