I'm hoping to look weak enough that BB at least stays with me and hopefully raises again. Better to call and c/r the turn? I was afraid if I tried to c/r he'd check behind.

why bet the turn? let him do the betting for you. If you're worried about him checking the turn, then 3bet the flop and lead the trun

If he checks behind, he probably wasn't calling your bet anyway. You can bet your hand on the river and may get a curious call.BTW, if you are playing against a good, thinking opponent, I would opt for the bet/call-bet line. The reason is that this is how you should often play a made hand when a flush draw is present. A good player may raise you on the turn with a hand like TP.

I think I like leading the flop and calling one raise, then check/raising the turn.We get paid better for 2 small bets and 2 BB on the turn (and probably a value river call) rather than 3 small bets on the flop and 1 BB on the turn and river.

I think the c/r on the turn would have been better here. I definately didn't want to 3-bet the flop. If I 3-bet the flop and lead the turn villain folds unless he has a smaller flush. I was hoping to keep a pair or flush draw around which are far more likely. The flush draw possibility is the reason I went for the gaybet - figured villain would check behind with just a fd. He seemed like a decent straightfoward player - not terribly agg, bet when he had a hand, folded when he didn't.
