Well since you decided to start an entire new thread complaining about how we "never" comment on the "other" person's bad play (like HIS bad play makes YOUR bad play any better?), then let me reiterate what the other guy was thinking...You raised a pitiful little raise UTG. Flop was apparant rags. The other guy (who admittedly shouldn't be calling your raise with Q5 but the implied odds are HUGE so maybe take a chance...) KNOWS you didn't hit the flop. You make a steal-bet and he puts you all in because HE BELIEVES HE HAS THE CURRENT BEST HAND!HE WAS BETTING YOU DIDN'T HAVE TOP PAIR, and that IF for some BIZARRE REASON YOU DID have top pair, that you would be smart enought to FOLD IT. He wasn't going all in "with a pair of 5's".He obviously wouldn't have done that if he thought you had the 9. But the chances of you hitting THAT flop were very low.If you hadnt' hit the flop, you couldn't call the raise. If you DID call the raise you'd have less than a 25% chance to win. Now, think what the other guy COULD HAVE had.. and why your CALL after he went all in was JUST TOTALLY STUPID:1. 10/10, J/J, Q/Q, K/K, A/A. He called your preflop raise and in this position he could hope you hit the flop with top pair, so you'd call and he could knock you out and nearly double up.2. 7/6 suited (or not). The best cards to have if you are up against any of the top hands (AA/KK/QQ/AK). And EASY to play post flop. If he had 76 then he flops the nut straight. You are DEAD.3. 55/99/88. He just called hoping to hit his set. You are DEAD in this case.4. AK, AQ, AJ. He has 2 overcards and although he is a 3 to 1 dog at this point IF you SOMEHOW hit the flop, he will win the hand if you didn't hit the flop. Now, as for YOUR CALL of his all-in. You said yourself you could basicially coast to the final table. So why would you call all-in unless you were DEAD SURE you had the best current hand, and that any draw he had would be more than a coinflip? I just showed you about 12 hands he could have that you were DEAD DEAD in the hand. Is it SO hard to put him on one of those 12 hands? Is it SO hard to lay down TPTK with at least 12 hands that KILL you, ESPECIALLY since you are risking all your chips?Don't you think you could have waited 5 or 10 or 25 hands for a better chance to bust someone and accumulate chips?I stand by my first comment... you should have looked at that A9 and quickly folded it. There's NO REASON to risk your stack UTG with A9. PERIOD.I know why you are mad, and you aren't mad at the other guy... you are mad at YOUR very BAD play.
