econ_tim 0
Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converterPreflop: econ_tim is Button with J:heart:, J:diamond:. CO posts a blind of $0.75. 1 fold, MP calls, CO calls.Flop: (8 SB) 7:heart:, 3:spade:, T:club: (4 players)MP checks, CO checks, econ_tim bets, MP calls, CO calls.Turn: (5.50 BB) T:diamond: (4 players)MP checks, CO bets, econ_tim calls, MP calls.River: (8.50 BB) 2:spade: (4 players)MP checks, CO bets, econ_tim calls, MP calls.Final Pot: 11.50 BBOn the turn I think CO is more likely to have a 7 (or some mid PP) than a T. But Should I raise to protect against overcards? On the river I clearly prefer overcalls to raising.
screech 0
Tim,If you plan on calling the river, you should always raise the turn to protect your hand.

Abbaddabba 0
Tim, If you plan on calling the river, you should always raise the turn to protect your hand.It seems to me like overcards are already getting insufficient odds to call, given how likely it is the villain has a 10.Raising just has you paying more when you're behind. Do you fold to a 3bet? Do you value bet the river if checked to? A lot of worse hands fold to this raise, when they'd be betting the river.Seems pointless.Would you just call if you had aces here? (no threat of overcards)
screech 0
given how likely it is the villain has a 10.Villian probably would have c/red if he had a T.Raising just has you paying more when you're behind. Do you fold to a 3bet?Yes.Do you value bet the river if checked to?Yes.It seems to me like overcards are already getting insufficient odds to call, given how likely it is the villain has a 10.While I think it is unlikely villian has a ten, this is a good point. MP will probably fold if he has overs.Yeah, you're right. Calling is best.
