Let me preface this by saying most people play hands with aces in them. You'll see the relevance later.I'm playing in a soft 10/20 Omaha 8 game, where 5 or 6 people are seeing every flop. Suddenly a hand arises that is being played HU.It is folded to a player in middle position, who limps in. Everyone folds to the BB who checks. The flop is A :club: 9 :club: 6 :club: . BB bets (correctly) and gets raised (foolishly) The turn is the 7 :club: . BB bets (obvious play), and the limper decides his hand merits capping the pot. The river is the 7 :D . BB bets, gets raised, and just calls (again, not a bad play, because the limper made it appear as if he had nut low and some kind of high that could beat a jack high flush)Well, the BB shows about what I expected 2 :D 3 :) 5 :club: J :club: . Amazingly, the limper reveals A :D A :club: A :) 10 :) .

I have one that just happened to me in low-stake PLO8. I didn't lose much money but I folded (correctly in theory) and couldn't believe my eyes at showdown.I have AKQ 10(can't remember the suits but that's irrelevant now) in the cutoff.5 see a flop of AJJ in an unraised pot.Three check to me, so I try to buy it with a half-pot bet. The button calls and ALL other three call. I think "oops, someone's slowplaying the nuts. Oh well..."The turn comes K(I have str8 and 2 pairs). UTG bets quarter pot and it is called all round to me. Well no low possible, so I think: "2 people have jacks full, and probably some fish might have str8. I have no odds to call for A or K and that could be losing to quads anyway". EASY FOLD, right? I fold. Button calls.River comes K.....aaargh... I would have had the K full of Aces. Anyway, no worries. I made the right fold at the time; someone had a house before, right?checks round to button who bets 1/3 pot which is called in a place. Button wins the showdown with 3 Kings....... that's right - 3 Kings. He didn't have any other paint - I swear it. God knows what the caller had(he mucked). What sort of Omaha are some of these people playing??????

Wow. Yeah, you have to fold there. I guess the caller had J 10 9 8 or something similar. This could easily become a daily thing, even if a couple of us only played for 10 minutes each (Of course, I play about 5 hours a day). Online Omaha players are really clueless.

the vast majority of omaha players are clueless. I was in a PLO game where this guy kept rasing the pot( i had folded preflop with a weak wrap that I wanted to get in cheaply for). The guy proudly shows up hishand after everyone finally folds, and SHOWS NOTHING. It was like 77Q9 with no flushed cards. Everyone thinks its like holdem, gotta love except for when they suck out on you
