had two marginal hands in a row, so just thought I'd ask opinions. I think I should've been calling down in both situations , but both times I felt I was likely behind. No results of course, though I did save a later hand which I think implies certain conclusions. Here they are:SB has VPIP 19.4, 5.6% PFR and 1.75 AFParty Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cxPreflop: Hero is CO with [Ah], [Tc]. MP3 posts a blind of $2. 2 folds, SB completes, BB checks.Flop: (5 SB) [Ad], [Js], [Qh] (5 players)SB bets, Hero calls.Turn: (5.50 BB) [6h] (2 players)SB bets, Hero folds.Final Pot: 6.50 BBHand 2:Here UTG+2 had 35.5% VPIP, 14.3% PFR and 1.12 AFParty Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cxPreflop: Hero is MP2 with [Jh], [Jd]. 2 folds, UTG+2 calls.Flop: (7.50 SB) [Ah], [Qs], [4d] (2 players)UTG+2 bets, UTG+2 calls.Turn: (5.75 BB) [4s] (2 players)UTG+2 bets, Hero folds.Final Pot: 6.75 BBSo are these solid laydowns or should I be calling down since I will likely be able to see a showdown for 1-2 bb max.

those laydowns are fine.it looks fairly obious (sp) that u r beat and your not getting the right odds to try and draw out on the river.

I like hand 2.Not a fan of hand 1 at all. I'm raising from the CO with A10 dealing with just 1 limper, a poster and the blinds. For the second hand only reasonable hands that have you beat are AJ, QJ and K10 since you figure AK AQ AA QQ JJ are all raising preflop here. I see people make this move all the time on the flop with A#.

i don't like the raise on hand 2 at all, looks like a better place to laydown the flop then anything elsehand 1: I'd call it down. Its an unraised pot PF, so it is possible that the sb is overplaying a worse ace. THey might have two pair, so you have outs against that, and you still have a gutshot(which they might've flopped the nut straight, but I think this post is big enough to call down)
Wine Notes for those that care about such pretentious things

the raise on hand 2 was mostly due to how aggressive the player was. i figured this was his way of testing me for an ace, so since he felt the need to test me, i figured he couldn't be that strong. seems like he probably hit an ace here though, so i layed it down. sometimes i'll fold that on the flop, its mostly read-dependent.hand 1 - i also think i should've called it down. rethinking his possible hands, i don't think he'd reraise with a weaker ace, and i don't know whether he'd have raised pre-flop with AQo or AJ. JQ or K10 is of course a possibility. i do think though that Q-10, J-10, J-K or QK are too likely not to call down. and yes, i should've raised pre-flop. i didn't notice that the second limper was actually a poster, or else i would have.cheers, daniel
