okay.. so here's my story.dropped like 400 in three months fall quarter on full tilt/ub. above average success, having my share of winning nights at the NL games.. I also did very well in sitngo's on FT and UB. horrible money management, and lost it all. this year, i only had a limited amount to play with, aned ended up investing a 200 and then 75.my first session i won up to 800 for a day or two, in about four days of time. in many instances just killing the games, , playing 25 nl/pl.. i then camed within 1 spot of cashing in a step5 on party.. and it was all downhill from there. ended up getting 150 out of it.second session starts last friday, with me short on rent. i take 75.00 and deposit it back into party and start playing .50/1 limit.. need to make 400 tp cover both rent and buyin. So I grind it out for a couple days, and I have 200 by saturday night. i have some good sessions in the morning on sunday and try some 1/2 games and get thoroughly discouraged and move back down to 1/2, suffering some bad beats and just overall bad play on my part. more grinding at .50/1 and I play a 2/4 sunday night for fun.. 100 buyin and I have about 300 at the time. i play some good poker, finding my play adapts well and end the night up at 550 from my original 75 friday morning.monday, i get a good 8 hours of play in and finish the day at 1050. I cash out 500 for rent and, uh, food money and have 500 for play.tuesday afternoon and I'm back up to 800 with many more 'happy hours' (from what I can tell, and for me at least)to come in the 3/6 game i find myself in now.basically, in my first 5 day session, I did nothing but win for four days, capping out steady at around 800, where I was playing step tourneys. after that, I took a huge run of bad cards, beats, play, or whatever, and got out down 50. either way, i often crushed the games, had very aggressive (imo) play and was only left with the legitimate feeling that I can play online poker successfully/for money. (since they are the same thing)this second session finds me investing 75 and being up to 1300 in five days. I'm playing above my bankroll, but.. i'm crushing these 2/4 3/6 games now too. My style of play just works well I guess. So what I am wondering is... do you think this is all an amazing run of cards for me? is there something I'm not seeing? It feels like i can do this all day long and never run bad.. it's almost like a dream come true. I guess I need something to either a) bring me down to earth, please, and quickly or B) tell me this is something worth investing my time into, maybe with an improved bankroll management applied..help! i dont know if i'm squandering my time (five months til I graduate and have to find a "real" job) or not, or if i should take this seriously.. opinons?
