1-2 NL you'd want 2-3 grandish. Assuming you're playing a standard 100BB max buy in online type of game.good luck.

I could explan variance and stadard deviation but I won't.15 Buy ins will ussually get you there in NL.If you lose 15 buy ins a row, something's horribly wrong. It's really pretty tough to lose 10, but 15, or 1500 X the big blind is a good safety net.I wouldn't obsess over it too much, though, given how soft 1-2NL is online these days you could probably scrape by with a lot less without too much risk of going broke.good luck.

http://mathworld.wol...dDeviation.htmlVariance is just another word for luck. When you lose to rivered 2 outers 10 times in a row, that's bad variance. When you flop 9 sets in a row that's good variance.Varying from the expected outcome in one way or another.etc.good variance.

you did what you could to protect your hand they made a mistake by calling. You should go to the texas holdem (if that is your game) and post hands.Just take the hand history http://www.zerodivide.cx/converter/ use the bet the pot format. Make sure to include reads and any other information that you have. Helped me a lot, but don't get defensive these guys will help you a lot but you have to be open to advice.

LOL....Search for Smash's NL theory. You'll see the search button on the left.
The path
of the righteous man is beset on
all sides by the inequities of the
selfish and the tyranny of evil
men. Blessed is he who, in the
name of charity and good will,
shepherds the weak through the
valley of darkness, for he is truly
his brother's keeper and the finder
of lost children.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those
who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.
And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.
