puma12 0
Not exactly sure how to play this hand. I think call pre-flop was questionable but the table was not raising preflop at all. Chamonyx 0
Pre-flop: I would play this hand, even from your position, and would call a raise with it, for that matter.Flop: I would probably have looked to CR here and expect to get called.Turn: Go for it, and if someone has AA, too bad. MrNiceGuy 0
I'm not sure, but I think like the flop bet better than check-raising. Any 2 probably calls your flop bet, but likely doesn't bet it himself. And the turn plays itself, if you ran into AA, so be it.NH.
dank773 0
The hand is worth playing pre-flop. As for the flop, if you think someone behind you will bet, I might check if and hope to check raise, but leading with it works too. On the turn, I don't think you can give this up. With no raise preflop, you can't put anyone on AA, but you said the game was fairly passive preflop. What hands do most people play, most people will play any hand with A2. So, you have to assume that at least one of the two players has A2. If the other player has the last two aces in the deck, that sucks, but I think it's more likely they both have A2, and the reraise on the turn is good.
Wintermute 0
Clearly, you should check-fold the flop. What are you thinking?! You're drawing dead once the turn A comes. censored LAG dumbass. Learn to fold!Uh, heh. This was a drunk joke post. Here's some sober thoughts. When you lead at the flop like that, you might sometimes get played back at by A2, but you're really bailing the deuces out most of the time, by letting them see the turn cheaply. In addition, your hand is nearly ironclad. AA probably isn't out there, so only 22 will beat you. Sure, the runner runner low may arrive, but it's more important to extract the max from the players holding deuces. So I'd advocate checking the flop, and probably just calling whatever amount the deuces bet (which will probably be the pot if you let them decide). Then, on the turn, you can check-raise and hope a deuces full boat will get all in with you. It looks like things worked to perfection there anyway, but if a card other than the A fell that filled the other players up, you'd probably be better off letting them commit themselves. As it played out, it looks like you got both deuces all-in drawing to half the pot, so it's tough to be upset with the outcome. puma12 0
thanks for the advice guys. and thanks for a real post wintermute, lol.basically I bet the flop because I thought I would get action from any 2, either a reraise or a call, and because I have a tendency when I hit just trips to not bet but call trying to fill up. I thought the turn card was perfect for me because I figured someone was in their with an a2. Just checking to see if my train of thought out there was matching up with anyone elses.
