I dont see a lot of problem with calling the bet on the flop, but I think I would throw in a bet on the turn to narrow the field. What you want is to go HU to the river with a set of 7's and a decent low. If you throw in a decent sized bet I think you can win the pot outright, or at least get it to HU.

how about the flop?
I usually tend to be pretty passive on flops like this, especially in low limit PLO. Considering this is PLO8, I'm not nearly an expert. I will comment nonetheless.I tend to think we are behind most of the time, unless the bettor is an idiot. I would maybe try a min raise to see where I stood, but most of the time, I would fold that. The confusing part for me, since I'm not really an O8 player, is the low. Is it at all possible that our A2367 could be good for the low? Seems doubtful, but if you think it is, then the river call may not be a bad play, and in some circumstances, depending on reads, we could still have the best high, although I'd say it's unlikely. All in all, I would have probably folded on the flop.Zach

I definitely call the bet on the river, and depending on my read of the player may even re-pot - it is highly unlikely that he has you beat both ways.I would probably have potted the turn- the flush and straight draws may call as may the naked 24's. Make'em pay.

That's not a bad flop to raise on. Generally bottom set is a dangerous hand, but on a rainbow flop where you have a backup low, you might be able to get heads up. However, a call seems reasonable too. I would never fold there given the pot odds.On the river, I'd call. Probably 7's full of A's will take the high, but I think your low has a chance, considering the turn checked around (almost definitely no nut low).

i did call on the riveri got scooped, the two other players in the the pot splithigh went to the 87 low went to the nutsnot that this changes the overall decision anyways, cause thats just playing results...just throwing that out there

Bummer. It shows the weakness of bottom set to be sure. It's the drawing efficiency of other random cards that make me want to play bottom set in a situation like this either very quickly (check-raising the flop) or not at all (check-folding).
