screech 0
Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cxPreflop: screech is BB with T:heart:, T:spade:. 2 folds, screech calls.Flop: (9.50 SB) A:diamond:, 9:spade:, T:club: (2 players)screech bets, screech calls.Turn: (6.75 BB) 4:heart: (2 players)screech checks, MP3 bets, screech calls.River: (12.75 BB) 9:heart: (2 players)screech checks, MP3 bets, screech calls.Final Pot: 14.75 BBVillian was 30/7/2.1 after 50 hands. After he capped pf and showed aggression to my turn 3-bet, I felt he either had AA/AK. Should I cap the turn and lead the river? Call the turn, c/r the river? Call the turn donk the river? Or play it passively as I did?
zimmer4141 0
Honestly, I think I'm capping every street without a dead sure read on my opponent. There are 2 hands that beat you on the river, and I'm not that scared of either of them. If he has AA, then you've just got bad luck, but I think you're losing a lot of value by not capping every street.

He could easily be betting this heavily and cap pf with AK. He may have AA, but I think it is much more likely that he is overplaying AK than he has AA.
Briguy 0
You should probably donk/3-bet the turn. If it gets capped, c/c the river. If not, bet/call. There are a lot more combinations of AK available than AA or 99, but he'd have to be pretty bad to 3-bet AK on the turn after the line you took. Unless he's an expert and just knows that you're on QQ.Is ATs possible with that PFR?Ugh.
akishore 0
hey screech,i think you should put in one more bet.the question is whether you should cap the turn or check/raise the river.i like capping the turn better in case he's sneaky and is three-betting the turn with the intention of checking the river.aseem

tylerc 0
i feel that its very obvious that you are up against aa, or a maniac, or a guy on tilt. first of all i dont think that many people will cap preflop with ak or 99 and almost no one caps a10 when there is a 3bet from the BB. this three bet scares most players, but he doesnt seem to care at all. with no reads i would 3bet the flop and see if he caps, and probably lead the turn. Im pretty much calling down from there, so what if he has the improbable hand, he sure seems to be acting like he has it.tyler

checkymcfold 0
what stakes? how often are you seeing capped bets preflop? postflop?(and also, 30/7/2.1 means 2.1 postflop aggression? i don't use gametime, etc.)most of the time, i'm capping the turn and leading the river for the reason akishore stated. we do NOT want to give a worse hand a free showdown. that said, i'm probably just calling a raise on the river.
