dreamcaster 0
I've been taking some swings this month on hands similar to this one. Playing against some aggressive players like the ones in this example and it is difficult to get reads. Some of these hands I win but miss opportunities to get value on my hand and other times I lose to surprise holdings (e.g. KQ suited. I raise. Called in two spots. Hit K on flop. Get raised on turn. Lose to pocket Kings)Please provide some insight on hands like these.Thanks.Ultimate Bet 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (8 handed) converterPreflop: Hero is UTG+1 with [Ad], [Qh]. Hero raises, SB calls, BB calls.Flop: (8.60 SB) [4h], [Qc], [7s] (4 players)SB bets, BB calls, Hero calls.Turn: (8.80 BB) [9d] (3 players)SB bets, BB calls, Hero calls.River: (11.80 BB) [Jh] (3 players)SB bets $0.25 (All-In), BB calls, Hero calls.Final Pot: 13.30 BB
screech 0
Since SB is all-in, he does not have to have a hand that warrants a 3-bet on the flop. Even if he did, you're probably better than BB, so raise the river.
rog 0
Maybe I'm too agressive, but I was surprised to see no raises coming from you.I 3-bet the flop to make sure CO folds, and I'm pretty sure the blinds both call. I raise the turn. You have a raise and a call in front of you. You're pretty sure you still have the best hand, and the 9 puts a few straight draws out there. I dont mind if either villain folds the turn, but I dont think either does for just 1 more. Anyone on a draw wont call a river bet without improving anyway. I dont mind the river call since a bunch of straights came in, but I think even here, a raise has value. BB has no reason to think yo will bet since you have been so passive, so I think a re-raise would be highly unlikely. I think a weake Q calls your bet. Of course, taking my line, the river likely plays out completely differently. SB is likely all-in on the turn, and you nay even be 2-handed by now. A river bet from BB would be betting into an aggressor, so I would definitely just call.
