I know its a bit late here, but I'm just shaking the hangover from the celebration from last night :-) ! I was sitting with my 2 buddies who are also habs fans in a room full of about 25 leaf fans last night. You should have seen the celebration when the leafs took the lead in the third, you would have thought they won the cup in that basement. But then the true juggernauts of hockey came through with two clutch goals and put the Leafs in a very familiar situation, chhhhoke :D . Just had to brag a bit ya know, for myself and digitalmonkey. Our star goalie had an off night, but our very talented team came through with some beuties. I know its only 3 games in, but how long will it be before all you people who predicted for the Habs to not even make the playoffs will start backpeddling? I'd say right around the time were 10-0 :) . A guy can hope anyways. Anyhoo, Go Habs Go baby!

Ban this guy!
When I go to a fast food restaurant, and my order comes to $6.28, I like to give the cashier $18.71. They look at me and say 'What's this?' and I say 'I'm all in'. They usually fold.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.Although Vancouver was where I was born, I'm a Canucks fan first. But being raised near the GTA, I am a Maple Leafs fan also. And now that I live in Ottawa for school, I hate the SENS!!! This Monday, the Sens will perish!!!!

That's the great thing about Habs fans - they're right there with their team, win or... well, no more ties, so pretty much just there for wins. At least the good start for the Habs has encouraged some Montreal fans to locate their backbone this year, been a long time since any of 'em would stick their head out before the all-star break. Good to see you Habs fans back talking some trash, nice to have you here even though we all know you'll disappear with the first two game losing streak.

Uhh yea, thats why Digital and I have been talking about being habs fan long before the season started. And yea we had a really shitty year 2 years ago, oh hold on did we both make it to the second round of the playoffs? Oh oops. And quite frankly I'd much prefer to hear from fairweather fans than moron Toronto fans who think they are gods gift to hockey and are making a run for the cup every year. You guys have had a middle of the road team for like 6 years, before that you had about 1 good year in about 20. I'm sure there werent any bandwaggon leaf fans during that time either eh  . He sure does sound bitter digital, must be a leaf fan. But hey who can blame them, if I were 35 years old and I had never seen my team win the cup, I would be bitter too.

hats off to the Habs, I love the look of the team, and in this new NHL, they look even better than they already did before. Fast and young, they should only get better. The Leafs? well, we got some good older players, some grit, and as long as we stay healthy, we should make the playoffs and go a round or two. Sound familiar??? (by the way, GREAT game last night, THATS what hockey is supposed to be!! NHL may finally be getting it right)

These last 3 games have been rough.. Very rough... For all the crap I've taken over the weekend I would like to point out a couple of things: The Senators, who were suppose to hand us our ass this season because "they have such a better team", have only managed to tie us twice and win the shootouts. Not very impressive considering last night we were missing 2 of our better players. What do you think the result would have been if we had Sundin and O'Neil and Ottawa were missing Spezza and Alfredsson?I guess the bottom line is all that matter. Ottawa 2 wins, Toronto 2 Shootout Losses. But Sens fans are fooling themselves if they think their team is invulnerable.

i'm a huge leafs fan, and this sounds good. not sure how far the Habs can last with little to no defence, but they are fun to watch.and as far as i'm concerned, the leafs have two ties. we have lost two post-game exhibitions, for which the senators were awarded a bonus point. i think its silly to consider those two games losses since at no point did we lose a hockey game.sens aren't looking great though - i hate them and all, but with their team they should be beating the leafs pretty easily. and despite berg and belak's best efforts they couldn't even deny us a point. Go Leafs!Daniel

I'm sure Leafs management would switch D's with Montreal in a heartbeat. You call them what you want, but the bottom line is Ottawa came away with 2 points in each game and the Leafs only came away with 1.What's next...."we haven't won a Stanley Cup in eons, but we haven't lost one either"...?

Not sure if Leafs would switch D with Montreal. In fact, I'm sure they wouldn't. The Leafs have four very good defencemen. Obviously you need more, and our bottom 3 guys are so terrible I won't even bother to defend them. The leafs haven't won a Stanley Cup forever and that sucks. The only team I can't even mount a good defence to that argument is Montreal since they've won more than us too. The bottom line is the Leafs came away with a point. You don't get a point for losing in any sport!Daniel

:D Mccabe is excellent. Kaberle is pretty good and passable defensively. Klee is pretty good both ways. Khavanov played with Pronger all that time MacInnis (sp?) was hurt and is quite good. After that...Berg is terrible - he is barely passable when partnered with someone very good. Belak is just horrible. He could be one of the worst, if not the worst players in the NHL. Colaiacovo was inexplicably sent down, although he is not bad. If anyone gets hurt, they'll be in real trouble. But as of now, we do have those top 4 guys who are not bad. I will admit though that the way the Leafs are playing, they couldn't cover my dad's beer league team in the offensive zone.DanielThey should start playing them!

I never thought of it that way Monkey... Basically you are admitting that we are undefeated in Stanley Cup games since 1967.
