Ok so I am in Los Angeles trying to win some satellites to the L.A. Poker Classic. I have played two so far and both I have come in 2nd and as most of you know, coming in 2nd is like coming in 10th because 1st takes the Tournament entry chips. After a disappointing 2nd place yesterday, I go down stairs and play $100 No-Limit, unfortunatley I guess I was still on tilt from the tournament and I made an all in call with 5 :club: 6 :) while the guy in seat one had 6 :) and 6 :club: the flop made 8 :club: ,6 :D , and K :D , to make a long story short I didn't get my spade and he made his set. so not only did I come in 2nd but I lost 100 bucks. Now I know I shouldn't have played after a bad tourney like that but my question is are there any good articles or advice about player short handed. I think the consistancy of me losing twice in the final two is not because of the cards I had but because of me. I was so mad yesterday, i have played poker for 2 years now, but I took a break from it for 2 months to regroup and then just before the L.A. Poker Classic I decided that I was going to come back and player seriously. Any short handed advice!!!!!

When its heads up ask for a chop if the chip counts are about the same. Or even ask for money back then play for the rest. Most people will agree to it.

You have to be more aggressive than usual short handed, thats all I can offer for advice.

I agree. You must be looser and more aggressive more short handed the table is. If not, the aggressive bluffer will eat you alive.Asking for a chop is always good. But, if you are playing for a seat, then at times that is not possible .

Another thing you have to do is mix it up, see how your opponent reacts to certain plays (raises, re-raises, check raises, flat calls, etc. etc.)
