separate forums based on level?

Recommended Posts

I posted a suggestion in another thread about the possibility of separating the strategy section of this board into levels (e.g., Low Limit, Mid/High Limit, No-Limit). On other boards I find it useful to post in forums that match my play level, and just read the "higher" forums to help prepare myself to move up. (I'm not saying that people should be restricted from posting on certain forums--everyone could still post wherever they want).I decided to post this question because a) separation works well on other boards, and B) mixing advanced comments with those from beginners often creates conflict. Beginners tend to play by the book and see poker as black-and-white decisions, whereas advanced players tend to be more flexible and think outside the box. This is primarily, imo, due to the fact that advanced players are so much better at post-flop play. Of course, these are generalizations, and not every player can be characterized this way. And, there's nothing wrong with playing by the book when you are first learning the game---in fact, I think that's the best approach to take. Master the basics, then expand your game.Either way, this board is great, and this is only a suggestion. I realize there may be technical/cost issues with creating additional forums.Thanks.Just for the record, I play $3/$6 online and $5/$10 B&M--for those that think I'm bashing low-limit players---far from it.

I think it's a fine idea. Though Daniel is surely familiar with 2+2 and RPG and other stuff, and he hasn't bothered creating seperate ones. So dunno if it'll happen. It could just be that he didn't know how large the forum would get when he started. Or it could be he didn't like the seperation, hah. He'd have to answer for himself. :D
