There's really no point of posting a hand like this without reads. This situation is all about reads, sometimes you call, sometimes you fold, it's all read dependent. Also, bet generally about 3/4 of the pot or so on the flop.

How can you fold this river. In my mind a 4 is about as safe a card as it gets. getting 3:1 to call too. Not to be an ass but every hand you post seems to show you playing absurdly weak.

Im posting for input so I can improve my play. Maybe my weakness is that at times I play weak.I play aggressively as well, but those hands I havent posted. I post hands where I feel that I might have made a mistake so I can learn from it.In this hand, the fact that he calls all the way without a raise, slemms like a trap to me.The big bet at the end had me thinking that he had hit trips on the turn. I would like opinions on what you guys think the opponent had.Unfortunately I do not have any reads on this opponent as I had just sat down to play.

In relation to the size of the pot the bet isnt that big. He could easily have a weaker jack or a mid pocket pair. I highly doubt he called your bets all the way with the 4 and really very few hands beat you in this situation. Unless he limp called with a hand like AJ. Or flopped a set with a low pp.

this hand is too tightyour preflop raise is goodafter that you should bet around $8 on the flopif you still think your hand is good on the turn, bet more than $10i think the river bet is small enough to call

Not a big fan of the preflop raise, but since you made it, you haveto bet out more on this flop.Minimum $8-10.

cancel that first partThat half-pot bet at the end makes me think he has a mid kicker jack and wants to get value from worse hands that will check behind. By betting half the pot, he's also saving value from stronger jacks or overpairs who _wont_ raise because of the 4 scare card, if we assume that he'd call their river bet which would probably be bigger than $18.
