no, not really. the format takes away from what makes layne a great player. The blinds go up every 12 minutes. They also try to get the players ti fight with each other. They want them to be actors and not poker players

agreed, it seemed like more of an insult festival, probably the worst "real" (exculding Tilt) poker show i've ever seen.

I had nothing to do on friday night(didn't feel up for going out) so I actually watched Battle. It was sooo annoying just to much lame bickering again with the hosts. Its sad to see Robert Williamson being wasted like this. When Layne and Antonio got headsup all they did was push in. with all the chips they had I thought we might actually get some play

I just saw an episode a couple of days ago. It had Raymer, Anotonio, Humberto Brenes, Kathy Liebert, Jen Harmon, and Clonie Gowen (sp?). The hosts were so damn annoying I wanted to puke. Other than that it wasn't too bad. Some of the bad beats that were handed out would even make a Party Poker verteran cringe.Duff

The worst part of this show is the excruciating other two commentators besides RWIII. It's Kennedy from old MTV and Tom Leykis who appartently is on the radio somewhere. They really make it almost unwatchable. And the bickering between the players, esp. Esfandiari (?) is more annoying than entertaining. Moneymaker is still terrible though.

I really wanted to see this because Layne Flack is in it. I don't feel so bad missing it because of the reviews. I do wish my cable company would carry it though. Even though it may not be good, it is still poker and it is Layne.

I'm one who will watch any poker show at any time. But I had to turn this off for good. Any resemblence between poker and this joke is purely coincidental. It's nothing but poorly written "men are pigs, women are ho's" trash.

honestly, if you really want to see Layne play then it'll be worth waiting until the Aruba tourny will be on in April
Kdawg,I am looking forward to the Aruba broadcast. My avatar is a picture of Layne from Aruba while he was having an interview with Mike Sexton. I got it off of a blog associated with Ultimate bet. I can't wait! :D

This show is actually quite retarded.First of all, it's Game Show Network, everything always has to be over the top on this channel. As crappy as it is, Many of the "second tier" pros have to be enjoying this poker craze. Heck, i'd love to be on a tv show just once in my life!btw, by "second tier" I mean that non "big game" players. I seriously doubt Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer, Doyle, Chip, Barry, Chan, etc... would ever play poker on the Game Show Network.

yes, it's quite tiresome to listen to the pro-male and pro-female squabbling. and it's slightly annoying to see the pompous behavior of Vahedi and Esfandiari as if they feel the need to include underlying sexual connotations with every sentence.
