Let me start by saying that I don't play online poker. I love the live games casino aspect of poker. I've been playing poker in the casino's for over 1.5 years, and average about 4 days a week, 16-20 hours per week. I'm not playing for a living. But I'm not playing to loose either. Over the last six months I've quit loosing in the long run, and have been breaking just above even.Now. To my question. There is this one woman who has found a new "love" in gambling at the 2-10 spread game where I play. She is a "high roller" at least for this little card room that I play in. She routinely looses 10-40 grand every week that she plays (at the table games that is. She plays poker for the social interaction I suppose). So a 2-10 spread limit game is "pocket change" to her. So her "strategy" is to raise every single hand, every single street. The first night she played the game she donated $1700 to the table. The next day, she won just under a $1000. Why? Because people pay her off! I routinely saw people show down Ace highs and bottoms pairs. But she would also regularly show down even 4 highs, or king highs. Basically any two cards she would play with a raise to the river. So my question is: what is the correct way to play against her? She is taking control of every hand at the table. But I can't tell you how many times, her set, or flush won against a bottom pair, or high card. Because she will catch every now and then. I want to know what the best strategy is the play against her. Do I wait for premium preflop hands, and fold if I don't catch something huge. Or do I play loose preflop, try to catch, and if I do get paid off. Or is playing any pair a +EV strategy? Obviously she's a fish. And the money can be won, but the question is what is the best way.All of your oppinions are appreciated, and I look forward to the resposes I get.Oh, and let it also be noted, I won $200 the first night I played against her, playing "above average" hands. And suited faces, and any aces, and any connecters I played. I don't know if that's the "right" way to play. So that's what I"m trying to find out.T

Don't call down with trash and jam all good hands against her. It's occasionally a thrill for high limit players to nutbar at the cheaper tables but I don't even see how this can be fun for her. But if she's willing to donate I'd start hitting that card room every night until she finds a better hobby.

When playing against a super aggressive player you should call a few more hands than you normally would, because it is more likely that he is playing with trash.

I think that you still need to play quality hands because you have to worry about the other good players in the pot with you. If you have a multiway pot, your ace high may not be as appealing to call down with.I would suggest to keep playing decent hands, and to definately play good drawing hands because it sounds like you will be getting great odds in the multiway pots.

Understand the huge implied odds with drawing hands. Sounds like you can count on 2-4 bets after you make your hand from her alone. You should be able to peel more bets than you would at a more passive table. When heads up on the river you probably have to call with anything but a busted draw.I may loosen up preflop. Raise to isolate her with less than premium hands. Higher suited connectors, middle pairs.Expect some variance because of the pot sizes.Basically play like winners do against the online monkies.

This seems to be the best suggestion. Because from experiance, people will fold to a second raise. Not many want to call $22 preflop without a premium hand. But it does seem more mathmatically correct in my mind, to play more hands against her heads up, even though she may catch. In the long run it HAS to be profitable. Thanks for the advice guys.

make sure to re-raise her raises to isolate her in pots. You don't want other people in the pot with you.
