I'd be more inclined to cap OOP.

I cap OOP to increase my fold equity to compensate for my positional disadvantage. This works much better HU and with mid pocket pairs. To be honest, I don't know how correct this line of thinking is with AK against more than 1 opponent.

don't raise the flop. your backdoor + overs aren't strong enough to raise for a free card.i'm somewhat inclined to check the river depending on SB. without a read, i guess betting is okay, but i'm not sure about this yet.aseem

i'm not sure that i *would* check the river, but i just mentioned that we should consider it.how many players three-bet from the small blind (this last part is important, i believe) with a hand less than TT? less than JJ? QQ? etc.now how many of those hands are three-bettable on the flop? maybe all, but maybe just JJ+ or QQ+.on the turn, he has AA/QQ/JJ usually, sometimes TT or worse, but without a read, i'll say AA/QQ/JJ. that means we are best on the river 2 out of 3 times.so, i guess it's enough to value bet.aseem

I cap AK in position whatever happens. I also cap it out of position except when there are more than one villain. In that case, I just call the 3 bet.
