Ok everybody, it's time for Survivor Hockey! Here are the rules: Each weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) you will pick one team to win their game. If they win, you advance to the next week, but can no longer pick that team for the remainder of the season. You will only pick one game per weekend. The picks must be sent to survivorhockey@fullcontactpoker.com by no later than each Thursday at 6:00pm PST. You will be allowed only ONE entry per household. If you are interested, send the following information to survivorhockey@fullcontactpoker.com:Full NameFCP Forum IDEntry Name E-Mail AddressMailing Address When sending in your picks each week, send them in the following format:Team Name: Joe Bloes Your Name: Joe BlowDate of Game: Saturday October 8thPick: Boston Bruins over TB Lighting You continue to pick week after week until there is just one remaining survivor. If there is more than one survivor left at the end of the season, they will battle it out in a playoff tiebreaker. If every remaining entry loses in the same week, they will all advance but can still no longer use the team they chose. For example, if there are three survivors left and they all pick Phildalphia, win or lose all teams will advance, I still haven't made any decisions on prizes, but I guarantee it will be a good one :-) I also haven't decided yet on the number of entries. Send an e-mail to the above address with your information and you've locked up a seat in the first annual FCP Survivor Hockey Pool. The first weekend starts October 7th, 8th, 9th and all picks are due no later than October 6th at 6:00pm PST. If your picks aren't in by that time... oh well, sucks to be you!

Awesome, thanks alot Daniel. This is my absolute favorite kind of pool. Its hilarious how hard it actually is. My buddies and I do one of these for football every year, and often time it only lasts a few weeks lol :club:

Danny, I would imagine that you have to pick the winner of a specific game. Like if Boston is playing NYR on Fri and Boston is playing Pittsburgh on Sunday, If you want Boston that week you would have to specifically indicate for which day...Fri or Sun....Right?

I was just reading it over again and had the same question.

Is the first weekend open for submissions now? If not, when will you start taking picks?*Edit* Also, when we submit our picks, how do you want them? I'm assuming this format will work:ajs510 Chooses:Atlanta over WashingtonFriday, October 7thAlso (I know all the questions are getting annoying, but it's information we need), are we responsible for keeping track of the teams we've already used, or will there be an updated post on FCP keeping track for us?Again, thanks very much for putting this on!

Looking forward to it.Thanks bro! 8) Best hockey moment:1991 NHL All-Star game at the Chicago Stadium. The old barn could get loud....I thought the roof was going to blow off this night. Literally had goose bumps during the National Anthems. One of those top ten "life moments".Remember this was right after the US invaded IRAQ...the first time and seemed like a good thing at the time. Who knew?

This is very cool, looking forward to it. Just curious what happens if your team ties, are you eliminated? How about a shoot out win or loss, I'm assuming that counts?Psyched to have some fellow hockey fans to chat with. Even before the lock out, things haven't been too enjoyable for us Rangers fans.

There are no ties possible in the NHL this year. A win in regulation is the same as a win in overtime is the same as a win in a shootout.

Yeah, that's right. My bad. Although the team still gets the point, still counts as a loss if you lose the shoot-out (or of course in ot).Psyched for the season (though I hope the refs don't call as many penalties as they have been calling in the pre-season). I'm assuming it's just to send a message to the players, and allow them to adjust to the new rules. Overall, the rules should open up the game a lot and make it more exciting.

Awesome idea once again. I guess it will be even harder than football since there are so many games played during the season that even the best team don't have a significant edge over the worst teams during one single game... Will be fun anyway.
