No real discussion here. I just have to say it bugs the fool out of me to see guys/girls in tournaments at the top of the chip count who consistently play garbage and win!!!! I was playing in a Player Points Freeroll on Pokerroom last night (this is where you play enough during the week and get a free ticket to a $6,000 Freeroll tournament). The tournament was Limit which I do not play much anymore but I still enjoy playing from time to time. The field starts off with 907 players. I played for about 2 hours and literally played 4 hands to the river and still managed to stay around the average stack mark. I finished out about 268 I think. I just wasn't seeing good cards or flops for that matter. Anyway that isn't the point. I always watch the other players to see how they play, take notes, etc. One guy at my table was in the top 10 in chips at the time and it just was ticking me off. The guy was aggressive, which is not bad. But, he would max out bets if he could all the way to the river and was constantly sucking out with Q 7, J 2, 10 4 . . . you know the good starting hands :D It just amazes me that people like this get so lucky over and over and then talk smack about how "good" they are.Ok . . . I took my blue pill . . . all better now . . . Oh crap that was Viagra  Honey . . . where are you?????
I love . . . er . . . I mean hate . . . I mean love this game!

I love playing those guys - cause they'll pay you off eventually. Once the blinds get huge, they usually flame out in just one or two hands.

You have to understand that you are dealing mostly with gamblers, not thoughtful poker players. The "any two will do" crowd will pay you off in the end.I liken it to a typical casino where you are the house. Sure the gamblers will hit strings of luck - casinos do have nights where they lose money - but in the end you win. You have to if you're any good.My favourite is when I have the nuts and have my all-in called by someone on a draw!!! Happens all the time, and sometimes the idiots hit (around 30% of the time).I had a good one last night: I am on the button with A :) J :D and raise the BB from $50 to $150, which she calls. Flop: A :) 4 :club: 2 :D . She goes all in - you guessed it, she called my pre flop raise with a 35o. I called and lost 80% of my chips. You just have to shrug and laugh at that.

Similar to a hand I had recently.... bb was 50... I raised to 200 with KK..... Flop is Q94... I bet another 300 I believe.... Get called... turn is J.... So I bet big again, they go all in, I call of course. Called my pre flop raise with 8 10 offsuit! Had the straight. These people have no value for their chips whatsoever and no common sense. It's just a shame you don't see the cards when they miss these stupid plays.

But you do, don't you have plenty of times in each tournament or session where you have someone calling your big raises all the way down to the river, making you wonder if he hit trips or something, only to have your big pocket pair hold up and his cards get mucked? Happens all the time with me, since I always play low limits. You just don't get to see that they played 10-8o and were excited about that gutshot straight draw. But since you usually only get to see the cards when they actually hit their really longshot draw, and everyone remembers bad beats a lot more clearly anyway, you just don't realize how often those people are giving you money.
