if original raiser is sitting at around 12 or 13 k also. and or hero comes over the top all in. I'll more often then not throw away AK, unless i think he is making a move and i wanna get into a race. If you want to leave your play to pre flop , then go for it, but good luck winning any tourneys that way.

I like the over-bet pre-flop. If he's gonna call you, hes gonna call.. so why not just get it all in?

ya, thats where knowing the stack sizes would come into play. But giving the original raiser the benefit of the doubt, if he sits at roughly similar size 12 or 13k. he. (myself at least)., would probably fold to a all in push. thinkin i'm up against QQ at best, i still wouldnt leave it to a race. I'd have to muck in this spot. especially with someone to act behind me. A nice raise, and it looks like a squeeze play and we guarantee more money in this pot. If he goes out because he pushed all in, he lost his tourney life to a suckout, but if he loses half his stack to a bad hand, at least we are still sitting at 10xBB which gives us hope to make a come back.
