I was playing 3 way. I was big blind and small folded, left me and button. I was shortstacked, but not dramatically. Button raised (very small). I called hoping to pair up my queen. The flop was Q-4-rag. I bet moderatly heavy. He called and we saw a flop. Turn came up an 8. This made me two pair, money wise leaving me with all-in or nothing. I went all in, he called and flipped over his pocket 4's, making him with trip 4's . [Opponent background- plays tight and moderatly conservative]*** Given my chip situation, what thought process could I have used to maybe sniff out the pocket 4's? *** thanks, ProdigyIMD

if youre not going to play it to get all your money in somehow, you shouldnt be playing no limit.

you didnt provide us with all the information we need, but from what I understand, you played it correctly. Tough luck kid. Go clean yourself up.
