please i beg!..post good nl hands, please!

Recommended Posts

We get so many LHE hands that are played well. Or we see enough crtiques to figure out what to do.Would some strong NL players PLEASE START POSTING HANDS!!I really want to learn how to play better. I do decent in STT and 3-tables SnG"s; but would like to gain +EV in NL Cash. I know I could make $$ with the Smash system but would also like to learn a more sophisticated game to utilize at higher limits against solid players. All the NL posts here come down to horrbily misplayed hands or worse opponents. And many times critics can't say what you should do becuase it's so read dependent. I want to see posts, whether it's specific hands or just good info, on how to make $$ in NL without just nut peddling. thanks. Hope this makes sense.

There you go. In my admittedly limited experience, memorable, important NL Hands usually come down to somebody making a mistake and someone else taking advantage of it. So you get a lot of bad beats, horribly misplayed Aces, and so forth. Mensch

ok, here's one that killed me brutally a few nights ago. it's probably a "no content" or "bad beat" post, but, oh well. :club: 25c/50c deep-stacked NL, live, four-handedthis is a kill game with no cap... two pots in a row and you post $1 live, next consecutive pot you post $2 live, next consecutive pot you post $4 live, next $8 live, etc.SB is irrelevant, but he has $100ish.BB has $75ish.i'm shortstack with $55ish and just won two pots in a row.Button is the big stack with $175ish.i post $1 live to kill the pot.i am dealt K :D 10 :D UTG.i raise to $4, Button cold-calls, SB folds, BB calls.($12) K :) Q :) 6 :) BB thinks and bets out $12.i start counting my chips and raise $25 more ($37 to go) while saying "i have $15.75 left."Button instantly and calmly pushes his whole stack forward.the game is loose and aggressive for the most part. lots of semi-bluffing and bluffing and wild overbets and checkraises.BB is fairly straightforward and perhaps a little weak/tight, but he's been in this game for hours enough to now realize that he's getting run over. so, he's loosened up a decent amount and has gotten decently more aggressive and tricky.Button is a very loose/aggressive tricky player who semi-bluffs and bluffs an insane amount. he doesn't usually push without the goods unless it's a really big pot.BB thinks for a long time, counts the pot, counts chips, etc. it is extremely obvious he has some kind of draw, most likely a flush draw (i am talking to the Button during this time, and i say "it's pretty obvious he has spades, maybe a monster draw like J-10 spades, J-9 spades, but i think he would have called by now with those..." finally, in almost frustration pushes his stack forward to call all-in.i know i am most likely beat by the button, but my pot odds are monstrous here and i believe folding is out of the question, so i call $15.75 more.main pot: $170.25side pot: $31.50 between Button and BB.me: K :) 10 :D Button: Q :) 6 :) BB: 5 :) 4 :) funny enough, i am at the bottom of the totem pole with only about a 20% chance to win it. BB is about 30% and Button is about 50%.turn: K :) suddenly, my hope is lit!river: A :) and now my hope is destroyed.****ing BB, can't even lay down a flush draw. :) aseem

Actuary,Post your NL hands.
is that a slap since I classified ALL NL Posts as bad...I should not have said ALL. It jsut seems so hard to crtique them; if you are not there playing.Or, Guin, are you sincerely suggesting I post, so that others can help me on specific hands?I know its the latter, just jiving you.I'll tell you my problem: no idea I'm beat or ahead.Good idea..I will post some.Maybe the crtiques will help more than I think, maybe.Edit: In tournies, I wait, fold, fold, fold...., trap, wait, fold, push, push, wait, fold fold, trap, push, wait...get ITM, push, etc...In Cash...I don't have the balls to push. AS "Ive sadi before my NL Cash playing did help my Tourney play tremendously because it gave me more guts to make the right plays. Palying $11 tourney is a lot less stressfuls than calling a $15 raise. ( yeah, I know, small stakes)
