DeadlySkillz 0
Hey everyone. Just wondering what a fair % of return and of tourney winnings are for a backer. Thanks all.
turd ferguson 1
Is it just me, or is the "wing" the worst part of a fried chicken. It has hardly any meat on it at all, and when you finally do find that small piece of chickeny goodness it's usually half gristle anyway! I think they should just stop frying the wing altogether, and just throw it away. It's all about product quality folks, and the fried chicken wing is just not cutting it. I always used to try to dump the wings off on my brother, but he was no sucker. Drumsticks are the bombeezy, but the thigh is my piece of choice. p.s. way to play it cool when you're brother was calling dibs on the wings. well played.

So... 500% return?don't you hate it when you get a piece of popcorn stuck to the side of one of your back molars. then you have to hack it up like a cat coughing up a hairball or try to pick it off with your tounge, which looks ridiculous by the way. it's the worst. DeadlySkillz 0
Hmm... 150%-180% return and 30% of tourney winnings..?I really don't know... tis' why I asked.Edit: I'm being staked by the way.
Royal_Tour 0
Hmm... 150%-180% return and 30% of tourney winnings..?I really don't know... tis' why I asked.Edit: I'm being staked by the way.ok. no worries . not exactly sure what you mean with 150 - 180%.usually when i am staked, if i win or place in a FT, i will pay back the original buy-in plus 50% of the winnings.same if i stake someone, if they make a FT, they pay back the buy-in plus 50%.Its not comon that you will find someone wiling to stake you for less. whats the point?if you are being staked for cashgames, then sometimes a running tax, "juice" w.e. u wanna call it will be added.so you get a Bank role donated to you, and you then owe winnings from that bank role to the backer. Its really up to you with that situation. I mean i personally wouldnt get staked for a BR.
DeadlySkillz 0
My original question was bad. (It's still too early)Let me try to explain. Someone is going to donate me a bankroll. With it I will be playing cash games and MTT's. He asked for 180% return on what he lends to me. I was wondering if this amount was fair.

How do you expect to make any money for the amount of hours you play?if he lends you 2k and you turn it into 5k, and you pay him back 3500. you are left with 1500. that is the only reasonable way i see it.but if you cant at least double the money in a short time, then thats crap.and how long does he plan to collect?.. just 1 time. or constant? DeadlySkillz 0
One time. I thought 180% was a bit much. Gona see if I can get him to around 140%. Thanks Royal. :-)
Ron_Mexico 4,238
I tell ya, I can't get enough of The King of Queens reruns. I really love that show. I never watched it first run. Even though I like Carrie, the show loses some punch b/c she is chubby now.I used to love when my mom would buy all legs. I could knock back like six of those things. Now, I only like breasts. As far as wings go, the best place I've had is The Bru's Room here in SoFL. My South FL brethren should back me up. They grill em, I hate wet wings. The also have wet ones though. I only wish I could send you an order.

When doing the stalking, all it requires is a little brain power, a social security number, and a non-descript car.Oh. Staked.nevermind.Ray

schnoodle_C 0
Dudes,HE's asked a serious question. From a couple articles I've read by some pro's most recently from that Martin Denijff article in Card Player, I take it that pakers of really good professinal level players get around 60%. I would assume that someone backing a less proven player would want more. Even then I wouldn't want to be a backer at those rates.Good luck though.

I'm like totally serious. Here's a checklist:1. learn to spell2. learn to write coherently3. don't say things like "dude" if you finish that, you will be well on your way to not sucking at life. good luck. brian67 0
The percentage should be based more on your own personal numbers. Do you have a consistent expectancy rate? 180% sounds a bit high though, if you really are good enough then you can probably find a better rate than that. And at the same time if there really is that much risk on the backer that you will lose it then maybe 180% is reasonable. You also have to ask yourself is why you are getting staked in the first place, and whether or not you really need to be in the first place. You may be more profitable by just scraping together a much smaller roll and working your way back up from much smaller stakes.
