shpaget 0
Clearly, curiosity got the better of him, and he had to know what you had.Or the caller put the bettor on junk.I probably call this down too. He's got Q9 and he's playing, for all intents and purposes, a random hand...the BB that checked.Q7 wins 52% of the time heads-up against a random hand...so he's a bit better than that. He's playing on those odds...he's figuring he's 50/50 to win, and every bet he calls is paying 3:1, 3:1, 3:1, 5:1.I think if you call this down from the SB against a random hand everytime, you profit. For me, the profit may be too smal to bother...but it is a profit....he paid $55 to win 65....that's not bad if it works out 52% of the time. shpaget 0
hello. they're called reverse implied odds. are you always making the same money when you win at showdown 52% of the time that you're losing when you're beat the other 48% of the time. not usually. aseemHere, I don't know...maybe not, but I just don't know. Will you have bet/call all the way to the river every time...no...if you did, then, yes, you profit. How many times is a losing hand (especially a guy who's certain he's losing) going to lead all the way to the river versus the number of times a guy leading all the way to the river is value betting.Of those 52% of the times you're going to win, how many times is the loser leading to the river. Of the 48% of the time you're going to lose, how often is the winner going to lead to the river....they may counteract, they may not. K3 could check to the river...so you only lose $2.50 there.Of the 52% of the time you're going to win, how often is it going to check to the river with the loser taking a stab at the river?Like I said, I just don't know what those odds are.
